    powabyke lithium

They are our Canadian Distributor. The batteries they have are the standard lead acid that are supplied here in the UK. The figures he is quoting are more than what we normally quote, however we are very conservative with our ranges and in fact are more likely to closer to what they are quoting...

Please note its not so important to charge Lithium after every use as it is with the lead acid.

    powabyke lithium

Hi Mick, it doesn't really make any difference with the Lithium battery weather you charge every use or do as I do once a week. Longevity should not be effected either way.

    powabyke lithium

We have been doing lithium for about 18 months now with no real problems. We have previously been testing them with the University here in Bath for about a year before we launched them on to the market. We had several different types of batteries that were tested and opted for the one we use now...

    powabyke lithium

Hi Mick, Im using a Lithium on my commuter and loving it. I do about 5-6 miles a day on generally gentle terrain but accasionally venture up some of the steeper hills of Bath without a problem. I've had it for about 12 months now and was shocked when I had to ride my bike with the lead acid...

    Charging advice for SLA battery

Hi Marcus, Its best to charge everytime the battery is used. The lead acid batteries don't like being left in any state of discharge so try and top up when possible. Also keep the battery at room temperature especially during this cold time of year. Regards Frank Powabyke Ltd

I don't think the users on this website reflect useage of electric bikes in any shape or form. As been stated earlier, members generally tend to be quite "nerdy" without wanting to cause offence to anyone! Most users on here have a top of the range bike generally supplied by 50 Cycles as they...

whats your reason for useing electric bike

Ok so Im using the Boss' time but....!!! I use my bike mainly for my daily 2.5 mile trip each way to and from work. It takes about 10 minutes door to door depending on traffic and how brave I am feeling weaving between the cars. If I drove/walked or bussed, it would take in excess of half an...

Suitable Folding Electric Bike for under £600

Hi all! I have a customer who is interested in getting a folding bike for a 10 minute journey each way everyday. It involves quite a steep hill so needs to have sufficient power to cope with the hill but he does not necessarily need one with a greater range. We have temporarily discontinued...

    Indicators!

Not quite!! We do get asked for them and, as some other manufacturers have them fitted as standard, I was wondering what people's opinions were. We have been testing a brand of light and indicator set with a view to selling them as an accessory and have so far had a mixture of fortunes...
