A Raleigh Wisp was my first powered bike in 1972 i am sure i pedaled it more than i rode it , possibly due to the fact i never had the money for petrol.

I also took mine back and got an instant refund, mind you there were a couple of people looking at the Carrera with regards to buying and i advised them not to so i think they wanted me out of the store pretty quickly as the manager was ultra helpful.

Totally agree with egroover, had mine about a month and no problems yet and a free 2year warranty, what other dealer offers that that? plus Halfords are 1mile away so no problems taking it back. I would imagine the percentage of faulty bikes compared to the amount they have sold is quite small...

According to the specs on the Halfords site the Vulcan has different brakes and gears to the Crossfire, not sure of the weight difference but both bikes seem pretty similar apart from tyres and aesthetics.
