Yes I do notice what I would call a cut off point..but it's a mater of getting used to the way the power is spalled up..I call it the sweet spot of power where the cadence is just right..so sometimes you may find over pedalling makes the power dieing off. I find slowing down my cadence more...

To be honest I don't think there is a problem with this later type motor..the controller is fitted with better FETs I think they handle the heat better than the older type..the other thing could be the type of display your using depends on how it's set to trigger the error..I've put this motor...

Thanks yer I was going to buy a narrow wide I run 46 front. I suppose 42t give better range on hills. Sometimes I feel I'm forever changing gear going up hill and spend a lot of time on the biggest back cog.maybe a smaller front cog would stop me bogging down..but I do like a good top speed.

Yes I could go with the 500w 36v version but I don't want 2 hundred weight of battery to power it. And really I don't go mad off road that often.. More importantly I would still like to know the real difference in these motors.
