Well done! I can agree with Guto Harri. Jonathan Lis @jonlis1 For all those who missed the last hour of hilarity, Johnson’s new comms chief just retweeted someone endorsing John Major’s diatribe against his boss, eventually unretweeted it, then changed his bio to tell people to dismiss any...

It is also why many politicians always speak in their own language, even when they are perfectly capable of speaking the other person's language. Keep to the safety of the language you know extremely well. Obviously, it's acceptable to use a few words in deference, or in a specifically prepared...

She just said (on radio 4) that she wants to see the words about not intending to invade Ukraine backed up by action. Suggesting the Russians should take action has lots of (possibly/probably) disastrous interpretations. I suggest she wants inaction. :-)

I see Sir John Major is adding to the criticism of Johnson: John Major says Boris Johnson broke lockdown laws and is creating mistrust Former Tory PM fiercely attacks Johnson and issues barely veiled challenge to MPs to remove him...

Yes - with 70 companies you need 70 HQs (physical and personnel), boards, computer systems, etc. Must cost a lot even if some of them are very modest.

If you sup with the devil... Billionaire Tory donor calls for Boris Johnson to resign John Armitage, who has given £3.1m to the Conservatives, says PM has gone ’past the point of no return’ Not particularly this individual, but if your party relies on a modest number of big donors, you become...

If we had British Gas, that represents one customer for gas. Sure, competition from other countries. Having multiple suppliers, they are having to compete against each other for what gas is available. Which, I suspect, makes the UK gas price rather more volatile.

My circumstances were already difficult, so assessing how much was due to boarding school and how much everything else is pretty much impossible. Boarding schools can be devastating. But there is, I suggest, a big difference between going at 13 from a healthy, happy home background, and going...

Around about 1964, I was at primary school. We had a visit by a police person who had spent a week or two with Savile. It was presented as "lucky me - I met this television star". I didn't like him then. Nor at any time since. It was a combination of going to a boarding school and his frequent...

Seems even the otherwise seemingly supine speaker ain't too happy: Commenting on the link between the abuse levelled at Starmer and Johnson’s comment last week, Hoyle said he had already described Johnson’s language last week as inappropriate. He said: I know it has been reported that...
