Guy Martin & the hydroplaning bike

Really enjoy programs like this, not nearly enough of them. I think the canards might not have helped, the bike was going well until the power required to keep it level dropped off a bit. Then the bike bobbed and the inevitable happened. You what Guy said at the end...if you think you can do it...

    8fun crank drive kit

Please do, i'm interested to see if the controller will be ok at 62.25V. Are you planning on using a throttle? as well as pedal sensors? Is that your normal seat height? crikey! you must have long legs.

    8fun crank drive kit

Tongue in cheek.... Noisy agricultural = tough forgiving? Smooth quiet = refined delicate? Is there any thing that you don't like about the Bafang drives Dave? do you think they are the best value compared to the Gng Gen2.

    8fun crank drive kit

I am most likely going to buy a crank drive set up very soon. I have built a Headway 36V 10AH pack which should be able to supply a constant 30A (or more) in preparation, but...my head is spinning as to which one:confused: Bearing in mind i don't have a suitable bike yet, I'm after a fun...

    My brompton stolen :(

Yeah, like broken limbs from liberal use of said cricket bat. Scumbags everywhere unfortunately, but the act of gaining someones friendship just to rob them is particularly distasteful. Sorry to hear this cwah

    200 mph on a bicycle?

Anyone see it? I thought it was a good program. Loved the secondary gearing arrangement. Felt a bit sorry for the guy who's record he broke though. That must have been equally hard to arrange and do. No repeat of the 200mph statement he made on the preview clip!! still, 112mph was very...

    Side swipped by a van.

I would have liked to hear what was said:) On a positive note, you escaped unharmed and if you have contacted the employers/police, i would expect they will have to account for their actions. Hopefully they won't lose their jobs but will learn to be more careful drivers.

    Dartmoor way cycle route

BBC News - New Dartmoor track opens cyclists A little snippet from the local news last night and a 'plug' for Dartmoor electric bikes :0) My brother lives in Okehampton and told me they have been planning this for some time. I think part of it takes in a disused railway line across the moor...

New site with loads off info including Solar bikes

I have the ku circuit diagram saved (I've had it saved for quite a while). It's been very useful. I had a problem with one of my controllers on the brake circuit occasionally cutting in. Found it to be tiny capacitor that went resistive. Pm me your email address Jack i'll send you a copy.

    Signalab BMS fault...help!

Yes Dave it's lifepo4. It was a working BMS until my eagerness and bad eyesight screwed it. If the BMS you have is a signalab? V2(i think)it will have the componants i need. No hurry btw Thanks :0)

    Signalab BMS fault...help!

Hi Frank I am now going to charge them individually with my Imax b6 charger. Any reason why i cannot use a signalab BMS and a lifepo4 charger (as supplied by Li Ping) for a 36V lifepo4 headway pack? (a working signalab BMS that is)

    Signalab BMS fault...help!

It's 12 channel Dave. Originally from a little 5Ah. I have the same BMS on 10Ah that occasionally sees 20A. It has never cut out although i was expecting it to with the headway pack. I thought i would try it first. However, i wanted connected initially to balance the pack, but ran into the...

    Signalab BMS fault...help!

Self inflicted fault i'm afraid. I soldered in my spare signalab BMS to my new headway battery pack but managed to get a solder splash right across the bottom of the pcb. I removed most of it, but I should have waited until i could inspect it at work. Like a' chump' i hoped everything was ok...

    Ku65 cruise control wire

Zebb, your controller must be different...do you have a link to it? Mine is a KU65 with a display. I have just tried the two blue wires and i can confirm the KU65 controller has cruise control just like my KU93 and KU123. There is no 6km speed by joining wires. The only way is by holding the...

    Ku65 cruise control wire

KU93 and KU123 Dave I must admit, i have not tried it with a KU63, but it is listed as a function so i presume it would work the same. I have a KU95 with a display. Missing, is the 3 speed switch wiring as it uses the 3 modes for pedelec (as you already know) i have never tried the blue wires...

    Ku65 cruise control wire

If you have the controller with the handlebar display, then you may well be correct. The blue wires are probably enabling the 6 km walking speed. I dont know, i havent tried it. I will tonight ,i have that setup on my other bike.

    Ku65 cruise control wire

Sorry but i have to disagree with Dave. The cruise control does work, (i use mine all the time). You are not suppose to leave the blue wires connected. If you connect them to a momo switch eg a switch that only makes contact when held, it enables the cruise function. Hold throttle where you...
