I'm gonna bite the bullet and replace the headset. They're only a few quid and I want to learn more about bike maintenance. Is the MTB threaded headset standard 1 1/8" these days? I can't for the life of me find out the spec info of my headset. Just states sealed headset. If anyone else wants...

If you mean there's a little click sound when starting to pedal and the same click sound when ceasing to pedal, then that's normal. Mine's done it from new, now over 1000 miles, and it's only the one way pedal bearing engaging and disengaging.

I reckon there will be a rush to secure one before they are phased out. On the other hand, I think the change in law will spurn manufacturers to improve on the pedal assist system. Which can only be a good thing :)
