Riding home after a beer anyone?

Two pints sounds a good limit to me. I've got a bit complacent about having a few jars and then biking home recently, but I fell off my e-bike in the pub car park on Sunday. I had been beer-garden drinking all day, mostly shandy but probably still the equivalent of about 5 pints all told...

    Carrera crosscity and coyote connect

I've been using the Coyote Connect for a 7 mile each way commute, with no major terrain issues, for about 7 months now. It's been great, reliable with no problems other than a couple of punctures (which could happen to any bike) but bear in mind that it's cheap for a reason - the bike is basic...

Coyote Connect (Halfords) - installing a throttle

I'm hoping this is a generic sort of controller. There are three empty sockets - can I just buy a throttle and plug it in? Any help much appreciated :)

Coyote Connect (Halfords) - installing a throttle

Quick question - has anyone here ever installed a throttle on the Coyote Connect e-bike? I've done a search on the forum (and the internet at large!) and can't see anything, but apologies if there is already a thread. Thanks!

    Folding E-Bikes in Edinburgh

Check carefully before you buy, if you do want one you can whip on and off buses, trains etc. - "folding" does not neccessarily mean particularly portable / easy to carry. Many folding bikes (including mine) don't fold up that small and weigh quite a lot - the folding aspect is just useful for...

    Is an ebike for me?

I'll just echo this - my e-bike is a folder and lives under my desk at work during the day. Saves a lot of worries.

Navigation and route planning - what do you use?

I normally just plan a route on Google Maps and then remember it, but at the weekend I was cycling across London (visiting a friend plus a wee bit of sightseeing) on those Santander bikes and I got lost about ten times. It was the first time I've ever felt like I could have done with some kind...

Has the poor Southern Rail service influenced your Pedelec purchase

Buy the right clothing and other gear and the wet/cold weather isn't much of an issue. I'd rather be out in the wet/cold fresh air than jammed into a sweaty train carriage (that has been delayed by something to do with the wet/cold!)

    Ebike vs Road bike

I've got a Coyote Connect, which appears to be the Lada Riva of e-bikes, but even riding that without the motor isn't too bad - I think it is just that when you switch the motor off, having been using it with the motor on, you just feel like it is going very slowly, compared to how it was with...

    Ebike vs Road bike

Unless it's really windy, I usually do 14-15 mph on my big, heavy folding e-bike and am passed by plenty of people on regular bikes on my commute, so it can't be too hard for them to go faster. They rarely look like they are enjoying the ride as much as me though ;) As an aside, I've noticed a...

    Hello

I really like the look of that bike from the OP, something about the shape of it makes me think of a properly ancient motorbike, i.e. pre-WWI, maybe the motorbikeyness* of it is why you've taken to it so well! :) * this may not be a real word

Do ebikes take the fun out of cycling ?

For me the fun of cycling has always been about getting out in the fresh air and maybe visiting places you can't get to on easily on foot or by bus/train/car - the actual physical exertion aspect was never "fun"! So being on an e-bike doesn't take away from any of the things I've always found...

    Cycle Commute below zero?

I had that problem myself today - I wear a pair of decent normal gloves with some fingerless luminous orange "cycling gloves" (Poundland monstrosities) worn over the top of them. They've been fine all through October but by the end of my journey today I was losing feeling in my fingertips. I...

First look at the new Woosh 26 x 4 Rio

Most of the fat bikes I've seen out and about have probably never been off the pavement/tarmac - the same way loads of people in the mountain bike boom years ago owned one that never saw a splash of mud, and the way people have always bought "athletics" clothes that they'll never do any exercise...

To e or not to e ( wouldn't have worked for Will S)
