Yes it doesn't say Bosch on it ;) However the battery case design is probably protected by Bosch, therefore no other battery would fit into the same slot.. Regards Martin

Yes of course, this motor is tried and tested and performs well, it will also be cheaper for manufacturers to use this one over the newer style one so it will be used for sure. Regards Martin

Hi Barry, The main reasons why they developed the new style motor was to give more ground clearance (doesnt matter on the inverted Haibike anyway), also using small cog makes it almost impossible for the chain to come off, they also wanted to incorporate a pedal back brake for the German market...

Hi Dave, Yes as I mentioned yesterday I can confirm that the battery will never be able to be used again once dismantled. Also the BMS on board is so sophisticated in the communications it makes there is no possibility of running a piggy back pack. Regards Martin
