Haibike's - What do you think?

I think obviously the big worry does come down to warranty, and therefore a UK distributor and good dealer support is going to help this. I know that some people have bought these bikes direct from Germany but in the event of a problem, I personally wouldn't want to fuss about trying to talk...

Haibike's - What do you think?

Haha I'm sure with a good bit on 'engineering' this could be arranged :) So back on topic, the overall impression I'm getting is that the Haibike's are a good brand to bring to the UK? But the appropriate dealer support/back-up of spares is key.. Martin

Haibike's - What do you think?

Thanks Blew it, I will get one of these kits apart and see exactly what's in there, I will probably try and bring some or similar kits over here for users to buy in the UK. Once I have fitted it and tested the kit, I will stick up a full 'how-to' in English on here for DIY guys. And of...

Haibike's - What do you think?

Interestingly after a bit more research, It seems there is a small piece of electronics housed into that little headphone jack! This means it might not be as simple as 2 wires, never the less I will still be testing this, as it means the Bosch unit can be running at 50kph (off road of course!)...

Haibike's - What do you think?

This is interesting, From the pictures It just looks like the case of connecting/earthing/disconnecting 2 wires, and the headphone jack/dongle is a quick and easy way of applying the mod. Will have to research this further. Would be nice to work out a cheaper alternative too that maybe...

Hello guys, Thanks for your comment Eddie. Ok sorry if I upset any of you guys. I mean no harm. Whilst I am technically a 'seller' as I own 2 bike shops. I joined the forum with the intention to ask opinions and views to certain products, and maybe if I could also help some users out with...

Haibike's - What do you think?

Hello halfer - Thanks for your reply, glad you like the range. As do I agree that there needs to be good support for these bikes if its going to work in the UK. Hopefully we can achieve this, we are hoping to stock in a good amount of spares, that along with a good knowledge of the bikes...

Haibike's - What do you think?

Hello Hugh, Hopefully this lock-ring is a part we could stock direct from Bosch in the new year. In the meantime, the part you are after is called a spider lock ring, these look almost identical to some of the spider lock-rings we have used in the past used on some middleburn/shimano...

Haibike's - What do you think?

Cakey and Eddie - The 2013 Haibikes are all running the 250w Bosch system, obviously if they were to be imported properly into the UK then they should meet the legal requirements (250w) to be used on public roads. This is not to say this cannot be modified to suit your needs. Personally I...
