The Rio FB looks good but if you want to save money and your handy with a spanner you can get a kit for around £500 (probably less if you source the bits and pieces yourself) it's pretty straightforward and if your near the canal around maryhill I can let you see how my own conversion turned out.

Aye the old canal has cleaned up it's act in the last few years,It's well used by boats,walkers and cyclists nowadays.

Had to Google what the NCR 754 was and that's the very canal path I use to get to work,also use it sometimes to go along towards kilsyth etc.

Welcome to the forum PG,just had a wee look at the gocycle and can see what you mean about sticking out from the crowd but in your case it might have been worth it with all them stairs you need to get the bike up and down,am also in Glasgow so maybe bump into you someday,cheers

I spotted 6 ebikes in about an hour while I was sitting outside the pub the other day .

Aye same as a car that way but in actual money spent daily after the initial cost of the bike it's costing you pennies per day to charge the battery,no road tax,insurance or mot required by law to use the bike.

Ok I tried the method described by d8veh and when going slow it does indeed work BUT when riding along normally I don't notice any counter steering happing,it could be happing quicker than my brain can notice it though.
