Road climber in Pyrenees looking for off road e-bike ideas

Unless you are willing to carry at least one spare battery, I don't think that you are realistically going to reach you target goal. Okay, the three examples shown below were off road over what could be considered arduous conditions, but just a guide, the first ride depleated exactly one...

There isn't one. I had looked at the thread earlier using my mobile phone, and without realising, had inadvertently clicked offensive language. I have removed it.

    Bosch ebike motor reliability

In the end I had three people after mine, so hopefully if priced correctly, it won't hang around. .

    MINI POWER POWER PACK...

No idea at the moment. It was working before the incident, and now it isn't. The power lead was shredded, so I guess that something must have shorted out.

    MINI POWER POWER PACK...

I had roughly three dark winters and 6,000 miles of use in extremely arduous, wet and muddy conditions from my cheapo Chinese battery pack. My pack performed without fault, and it was only an incident involving the spokes of the front wheel, that convinced me to let both the battery pack, and...

    SRAM EX1 first impressions review

Trevor is right. With the Performance Line and CX, a clutch is an essential item to prevent chain suck. When using a Shimano set up, I'd not ride without first engaging it.

    SRAM EX1 first impressions review

One of my pet hates about any SRAM rear derailleur, is the jockey wheels. Every SRAM system that I have used, without exception, has given me grief with clogging. Be that mud, grass, bracken, twigs, snow, whatever. Riding locally, I usually have to stop at least once on every ride to clear them...

    The new best headlight

I must admit that I very rarely ever use the light at it's max. There are three modes, diffused beam, spot beam, and combined beam. I tend to use the diffused beam, set to maximum power setting. Using this combination, I only charge the light every other night ride, with each ride lasting...

The Magicshine Eagle F3. I'll take this any night of the week.

That is one of the reasons that I don't tend to ride through either of my local MOD areas any more. A white bike with fluorescent orange, tends to stand out a bit too much. :) A bit of a shame, as they offer some superb riding. An old naff clip.

    The new best headlight

I thought that I was the only one that twists the front light as you do. It is the one thing that I miss when using the Magicshine. The mount is ridgid, so instead, I just increase the beam, then the spot mode. Naughty, I know.

    The new best headlight

I ditched the light in the first post a very long time ago, in favour of a Magicshine Eagle F3*, that suits my requirements perfectly. I still frequently privately recommend the light in the first post though, if someone is looking for a cheap light, as there is absolutely no reason not to. For...

I do like that colour scheme. :) Sadly not so dry in my neck of the woods at the moment. The open forest area is near on perfect, but the woodlands are pretty dire.

I suspect that there is going to be both laughter and disappointment that it wasn't something more interesting than it actually is. Having said that the scenery can be quiet nice. I've always had an interest in keeping fit, and whilst at my regular yoga class a few weeks ago, there was some...

YAY, my weekends are free again! The lad that bought my KTM hardtail a few months back, contacted me shortly after to say that he had run out of room, and needed somewhere to store the bike, so could I make him a simple shed. Things kind of spiralled, and I have been spending most of my...
