No, it's not me. I have a challenger lol. There is also the dahon speed pro on ebay: 10.4kg. Chromoly steel. Perfect for bending the frame and add my motor :)

Thanks for your proposition d8veh. I'll definitely ask you I have shipping problem with the seller. And very nicely spotted JerrySimon, this is maybe MY BIKE: Wanna put a shopping cart on top of that. I sent an email to both seller to know about the rear dropout width. The pacific REACH IF...

What about the Birdy? It's double suspension. Quite light and fast. A bionix has been installed there. So the rear dropout is probably 135 mm. Just seen a second hand birdy on ebay, so it maybe worth it?

Flec, I love it. It's exactly me. Where can I get this bike? :D JerrySimon, you didn't answer me lol. CatSnapper, I'm going to order the Bafang 500W36V. It's going to be a 20" folder (not completely decided on which one yet). If I just order the motor. How does that work? Shall I directly send...

Jerry, if you wanted your brompton to be fast. Something like 30 mph. What would you do?

Actually, the Dahon Uno is not that big compared to the brompton:

That's great. I can call you then if I buy from BMSBattery? If you can lace the wheel I won't have to purchase the kit from them. Just get the motor and send it to you. where are you located? I strongly prefer the rear motor because it's stealthier. Do you have know if I can fit a rear...

It's indeed not much weight lost, but it's also because I want a faster bike. So at the end I'll have a faster and lighter bike. Not that much, but enough to justify the change. I'm planning to sell the complete bike to make things easier. If I move part from my actual bike to the other I'd...

Issue is with the weight and the portability. It's a really really big bike even when it's folded. Here is a picture of the bike when I was carrying it to France: As you can see... it's huuuuge. People were asking me if I was carrying my home lol. :p I can absolutely live without...

Scottyf, this is this bike: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=230662193393 Basically, the bike in itself is too heavy (24kg). I can modify the bike and increase the bike speed but I prefer to invest on a bike of better quality/lighter.

Same, I'm following this thread with a lot of attention :) Thanks for sharing this D8v3h ps: Is CatSnapper a spoke and rim dealer?

Scottyf, for now with my Conhismotor bike, I can set the speed between 34 kph max, 25 kph max and 15 kph max here: I suppose I should be able to do the same thing with the new motor and be able to choose between 25 kph, 35 kph and 50 kph max speed. And maybe most of the time I'd be around...

JerySimon, the neutral gear is a gear you can "unplug" once folded. So when you move the bike backward the pedal doesn't move at all. Quite interesting concept. Why couldn't I move this bike into shop but it would be possible with the Dahon hybrid? What's the main difference? I've seen Xootr...

Catsnapper, from what I understood, a new model of crystalyte 209 is going to be sold soon. The motor is not that heavy (3.9 kg for the "old" 209). Main concern for me is it's a big front motor (not stealthy at all) and the very poor efficiency. But I'll try to know more about this motor before...

Not sure if I should take that as a compliment but yeah I like experimenting. You only know once you try it anyway.

Thanks for this thread guys. That's true I'm going to buy another bike and maybe I'll get disapointed. I know brompton is a very good bike but I wouldn't have many choices of motors. If I get this bike I'd probably get a crystalyte 209. Problem is that from what I've seen it has a very bad...

"Hercules E-Versa" new German folding bike

Yes, battery and controller are inside the frame. Most stealthy configuration ever. Too bad the space is so limited. This bike is really nice too, except that I'd need to complet with additional battery (and probably change the motor) for my requirement. So unless the frame is perfect for...

"Hercules E-Versa" new German folding bike

Very nice looking bike. Too bad it's not able to carry much battery. (24V6AH). At 17.8 kg weight wise it's really good. There is also this bike with similar concept: Jun Ma folding bike TDN-002Z products, buy Jun Ma folding bike TDN-002Z products from alibaba.com 21kg with 36V8AH battery...

    New dahon - Jifo 16

I'd love to hear the comparison. I've never rode a brompton. From my experience with the dahon jetstream 2011, I didn't feel to much the advantage of the suspension compared to my full size bike. But I suppose it's better to have suspensions at higher speed. Any feedback d8v3h? Like / dislike...

    New dahon - Jifo 16

What I'm planning to do is to have 3 speed switch like my actual bike. 30 mph would be the max setting. But most of the time I could stay at the lowest speed? That's what I'm doing now on my full size folding bike when I need to save batteries consumption. It's a bit like car, you can always go...
