How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

My BH Emotion Xtrem spends most of it's time off road, although I've eased off over the last couple of weeks due to the hedges being cut and far too many punctures. It is still bogstock component wise, but it is such good fun off road. I just love the way that you can climb steep tracks with...

    Hi from Sussex

It seems a very long time ago that I started this thread. I had a bit of issue with the bike initially, but that was quickly resolved, and I really can't get enough of riding it. I now have a Topeak rear rack system fitted to it, which make rides to and from work easier, fitted some very...

    Punctures

East Sussex and punctures must go hand in hand. :( I had four punctures three weekends ago, then one last weekend. Thankfully I didn't get any today, but only went along one bridleway which fortunately didn't have any hedges. Edit... Don't do what I did the first time. I fixed the puncture...

    Newbie with stealthy e-bike

Now that has really got me thinking. Very nice. :) Did you source the components from a UK supplier?

Storck Raddar Multitask SE -V- BH Emotion Neo Xtrem. My personal experience.

Does anyone happen to know what the torque setting is for the rear wheel retaining nuts on the Neo Xtrem as I'd like to change the rear tyre. I've been informed that if I remove the rear wheel, the nuts have to be torqued up correctly to avoid the possibility of damage to the torque sensor.

Storck Raddar Multitask SE -V- BH Emotion Neo Xtrem. My personal experience.

I finally have my bike back. :) After reading the washer issue on here, I phoned the dealer and he contacted BH. The whole wheel was sent back to BH and in their words " a wheel bearing had failed" The dealer looked at me with raised eyes whilst saying this, but he could only quote what he had...

Storck Raddar Multitask SE -V- BH Emotion Neo Xtrem. My personal experience.

The bike shop called to say that it isn't thankfully in the motor, but I'm afraid that I don't currently have any further info, as they only found the fault today and still have the bike. It had developed a clonking noise whilst freewheeling or pedalling. I'll post up the full details when I...

A rear wheel bearing has sadly failed on my bike, after just 150 kilometres.

    Hi from Sussex

Thanks Eaglerider, Battle isn't so far from me, I'm from Crowborough. :) d8veh, I actually overtook the girl and her partner twice. :D Once riding across Ashdown forest, before stopping to have a chat to a lycra clad road bike lad who was resting in one of the many carparks. After several...

    Hi from Sussex

Thanks again for the good advice d8veh. I went out for a 20 mile ride this afternoon, and I can say that without doubt that this bike is fantastic. I also only used one bar of power which is really amazed me. This bike is very addictive. The ride consisted of tracks, country lanes and B roads...

    Hi from Sussex

Thanks for the reply D8ve. The current gearing on the rear is 11/32 and the largest on the front is 44. I was giving this some thought last night, and it could just be me. I'd like to reduce the rolling resistance (if there is any) from the tyres, and then I think the best thing for me would...

    Hi from Sussex

My urge to get back on a bike after some 20yrs or so, had got so bad that I caved in nearly two weeks ago and bought myself an E-bike. A Neo Xtrem. The reason for buying a battery/electric assisted bike over bog stock pedal power is quite a simple one. Although I am only 47yrs old, my hip, knee...

Storck Raddar Multitask SE -V- BH Emotion Neo Xtrem. My personal experience.

Hi, I bought my first E-bike last Saturday, a Neo Xtrem, and my error 13 code popped up after just 3km! The screen then went blank and the bike had no power at all. After cycling the bike back home, I tracked my issue down to the connector at the console end. It hadn't been tightened and had...
