Long and rambling 4 day Agattu review

I'm thinking of changing the grips on my [wife's] Agattu to some of these Ergon grips, which are standard on Flyers and quite amazingly comfortable. The ones on the Agattu are similar in some ways but do seem to move around a bit, at least on the right-hand gear shift side. The Ergons are held...

    Any Pro Connect Owners??

As far as I'm aware, Kalkhoff do not have a distributor in Switzerland, which might help to explain the high price of Flyers....

There appear to be two identical valves on the front suspension. '+' or '-' to tighten? And on both?

Pro Connect or Flyer T,S Which to choose?

The Flyer T series is quoted at 23 to 25kg while the S Series is 1kg lighter. Most versions of the S come without front shocks as standard, so that probably accounts for some of the difference. If you get one with a Rohloff hub (14 gears), you have all the gear ratios you could possibly want.

Pro Connect or Flyer T,S Which to choose?

My advice would be that if money's no object (if you're getting rid of your car for environmental rather than credit crunch reasons, for example), go for the best and fastest Flyer that you can afford. If value for money is also important, then the Kalkhoffs are smart-looking and impressive at...

Long and rambling 4 day Agattu review

Thanks Scott. It's my wife's bike so it may suit her anatomy better than mine - I'm still walking funny!

Long and rambling 4 day Agattu review

Having ridden an Agattu over the weekend, I have two similar observations to Jen: Although the saddle on the Wave version looks comfortable, for this man anyway, after a few miles it's distinctly uncomfortable. Do they do men's and women's versions of the saddles or are they all the same...

Only finding other brand bikes, No Kalkhoffs or Flyers

Bob Flecc has answered on the regeneration point. It's difficult for me to say exactly what speed can consistently be achieved with the high speed version on the flat, as such surfaces are in very short supply here in the Alps. I do about 10 kph on most upward slopes and yesterday reached...

Only finding other brand bikes, No Kalkhoffs or Flyers

And then again, on the test page, "Before each course, we would like to purchase a SWISS FLYER extensively on heart and kidney test." I think I understand the heart being involved, but kidneys?? It must be something in the German psyche that gets lost in translation. I've posted a review of...

Intex, if you're in France at the moment, Flyer have a list of French distributors on their site Flyer France with the main HQ in Lyon but apparently nothing in Paris. High speed models are also available, according to the website.

Pro Connect - Sheard Spoke - HELP !!!!!!!

Owners of Flyers in Switzerland can take their bikes back to their dealer within three months for a free complete mechanical check-up, cleaning and greasing. As far as I can see, it doesn't actually say anywhere that failure to do so voids the warranty but I suspect that it wouldn't help.

    Pro Connect 2009 (fast pedelec > 25km/h)

I posted a review of the Flyer T14HS on the site last week which is awaiting moderator approval. This is more of a tourer than the S-Series, so it would probably be more akin to a high speed Kalkhoff Agattu, if such a thing exists. Even so, it has blown my socks off. For anyone interested...

More Confused- Which E-Bike for hilly area.

I have taken delivery of a Flyer T14HS. I am trying out in Verbier, which is mountainous rather than hilly and will be posting a review in a week or so. All I can say for now is that it is STUNNING and goes like the wind both up and down hill. Battery usage may be an issue but I need to use...
