    Hi Fc, The Ah(Amp hours) rating of a battery has nothing to do with power, it is a measurement of capacity, ie Range. Not sure about the cost /practicality of improving this with a concealed battery, but another alternative would be a separate auxiliary battery such as a frog type or rack...

    Yes, very interesting threads thanks Fordulike. Have heard of some of it before, ie soldering the shunt, however my main priority at the moment is range over performance. Maybe if I could find another one cheap & local another wee beastie could be born, lol. Mark
