Bike Cameras. The Negatives and Positives of using them

well, i take it you havent lost any friends in RTA's? That's a very great deal of empathy for the drivers and very little for the victims. I guess next we'd argue that driving as a "stressful experience" is grounds for diminished responsiblity in aggravated assault?

    Cow

i rather strangely have both a genuine fear of cows and genuinely like them - unlike horses (which i genuinely fear, but am not entirely sure i like) - with cows, given a fence to protecty me, i experience often quite a special bond (and not the kind of fleeting anxieties one can exerience while...

    Cow

Yes,I'm fairly neurotic and find cows very frightening, even jerseys, read in paper few months ago about dog walker near here that was trampled to death by herd

    Jeremy Clarkson Suspended

Fascinating,Hammond and may were adamantly loyal to JC and said theyd resign, which, frankly, isn't at all as edifying as it sounds, given what JC did,not to mention his arrogant denial. On a different level I read clarkson's column in the Sunday times - an alleged argument for rescuing African...

    eBike conversion kit help

You will have to get out and try kits - reading up on 250w kits may give you the impression it wouldnt enhance your ride but which have you tried? Ive been on various crank drives (kalkhoff, TCM, BBS02) and hub drives (BPM, 500w, 250w - but not xiongda) - unless you live in basecamp everest a...

    1 controller operate 2 wheels?

That never occurred to me (was wondering why it wouldntbwork), but are they really in parralel? I imagine the two motors don't know about each other and are only aware so to speak of the controller as if it is all there is? Apologies if this is very noob

22 miles commute... which setup is best?

I built a BPM with 50amp controller and two hobbyking 16ah 6s recently - it was easyiesh and from your previous posts I'd say you're more experienced than me. Total cost was around 400 pounds. I've restricted top speed to 17.8 mph and it goes a bit like a pedelec version of a muscle car - one...

Bike Cameras. The Negatives and Positives of using them

I find that a broader conundrum - I experience more aggression in the UK than France or Netherlands (even walking, with pedestrians sometimes walking at me, forcing me to make way,in what feels pretty deliberate ways. When driving I see more expensive cars, used as status symbols,Rotterdam is...

22 miles commute... which setup is best?

And herehttp://www.theguardian.com/technology/2013/dec/14/tomos-classic-xl-45-scooter-review Is a review,I found the lime green one deeply desirable in a retro waye until I read about the 28 mph top speed and two stroke, its hardly outside BPM territory

ebco ucr 30 at halfords 40-50miles range??

the ebco ucr30 has rim brakes, a small battery and a generic bafang hub motor - same as this http://www.kudoscycles.com/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=275 for £695, i can see the merit of as Darren says availability through halfords and the bike scheme, but it seems a lot extra for that...

ebco ucr 30 at halfords 40-50miles range??

apologies for slightly off topic, but that piqued my interest so i went to look at the halfords website, to buy that for £1100 i'd have to really ask myself why i'm not spending a few hundred more for a crank drive kalkhoff

How good is the Big Bear on hills?

IMHO you'll find a fair amount of fundamentalism (crank vs hub drive) on this forum. ive got an oxygen 250 W hub drive, ive built a 2.5kw BPM 500W and ive tried a TCM crank drive belonging to a friend a lot. Your original post made me wonder what I'd do if i had to start all over again and teh...

Bike Cameras. The Negatives and Positives of using them

I drive and cycle - not by choice, but because I live in a place where transport infrastructure is so car centred some fast roads are just too dangerous for cycling. If you look beyond road manners at pollution and environmental damage car driving and ownership is probably the most...

How good is the Big Bear on hills?

This is exactly what I found. I've got a 250w hub motor and a friend a 250w crank drive and we travel on mixed terrain, one VERY steep hill and a few long gradual ones. Unless your friend weighs well over 100kg I think a hub drive may be average faster and perhaps lower maintenance, and a BPM overkill

Bike Cameras. The Negatives and Positives of using them

here's a true anecdote. a year ago a bloke on a motorcycle (who had his licence revoked it emerged later, for medical reasons) hammered into teh back of my little fiat panda at great speed. i thought all would be straightforward (he drove into the back of my car) - it was not. my insurance...

Bike Cameras. The Negatives and Positives of using them

Ive just ordered an sj4000 (from amazon for £52), a considerbale investment, but in my case some underwater videos from Anse D'Arlet may justify teh investment before i consider how it keeps drivers in my neck of teh woods a bit more careful. Tilsson's response reminded me of an accident i had a...
