Tom Your last point isn't specifically correct. The manufacturer has agreed the warrant extension not 50cycles. That's in fact very important as it indicates the manufacturers are admitting the motors are not fit for purpose.

Sorry does nothing for me. I dislike battery behind rear post. Looks very old fashioned. It's why I'm thinking of getting a new bike. Nothing wrong with my Wisper just looks old fashioned.....just like me :D

Maybe the mods thought it was going too far off topic or worried about any legal ramifications??? Or someone threatened to remove their advert? Or the wind was blowing from the West or it was thought the offer if extension if warranty ended the episode..... Or....or...or..

50 cycles used to sell just Kalkhoff bikes....I've noticed they now sell other brands too. Giant, Scott. Are they worried about the rep of that impulse motor???? Make your own judgement.

I'm sorry but why aren't you in there demanding a loan bike or a replacement. Couldn't see a car dealer treating you like this for a car under warranty so why should a so called top ebike dealer. If I sold their bikes with the known problem I'd always keep a few motors as spares. I see 50...

Where is the controller on a bike? Mine is a Wisper so if I disconnect the white wires I get more than 15mph assistance?

Did you buy it from a bike shop? Or just off the internet? If from a bike shop and they won't help you name and shame them. Are you sure it was new and not used?

Just don't ride it on the continental side of the road.
