    Turnigy Wattmeter auxiliary power function

I've left mine on while at work for about 12 hours in total and the volts dropped from 47.63 to 47.02v across a 10amp pack so I don't think it's that much. It's more than some simple meters but it's by no means high. I wouldnt imagine more than a few watts for an hour If that. Intact it's less...

    Turnigy Wattmeter auxiliary power function

If you wanted that could you just not wire it in before the switch for the battery?!? If not you could change the switch in the negative position to actually create a live to keep the watt meter going.

Giving the motor what it wants

Not really a motor will chew up any given wattage. But the issue is the heat. The only advantage I can think of is the speed you'd go up said hill. This means less time pulling that high amperage. But the problem is heat, every time you double the amperage, the heat is increased 4 times over...

    My new build

Hello All again, I'm 27, its a Friday night. I go on holiday soon. An what am I doing... Building and buying parts for a bicycle. I'm starting to think there is something wrong with me. Anyway I showed the poor little bike a bit of love since i've generally riden it into the ground replacing...

    disc brakes .

I can understand your fustration. However they reduce rim wear and are much better all weather performers if like mr you ride in all sorts of horrible weather. Some car if not alot of car disc brakes only use one piston that actuates while the other pad is free floating the trick is on...

    New sub-forum? Off-Road

I dont think i've seen any of the top speed bike thing going on. There are people that have pushed limits. I'm one of them I guess. I don't think i've ever bragged about it. Infact I think most the time I said it was pretty dangerous. The top trumps things happen on Endless sphere. But...

Parallel Li-ion and Kudos LiFePO using Schottky?

Arn't most standard cheap chains tested up to about 850kg of weight before they actually snap. Thats almost the weight of a small car. Most lightweight parts can take a bollocking before they give out. The motor at 25amp will cope with it fine. I'd be more worried about continuly pushing...

It's so great to hear many ebike out fits, great all small really do offer that first rate service that so many of us need. Not like some local bike stores!

    Somerset Beware

I think the point was to say that 1 nutter on an ebike tearing round that causes an accident won't affect the law biding population and spoil it for the rest of us. That is all.

Looks like just preload adjustment and thats it. The other bit is just a cap for maintenance.

    My new build

The 201 rpm would be the 26inch motor laced in a 700c wheel. To be honest I didn't ask for a specific wind becasue I knew they would be all legal winds anyway. I've sure if you asked the team nicely you could specify. However there may be additional cost. If I for example wanted a faster...

    Somerset Beware

Ha Seriously though I very much doubt it will affect any legal ebike riders. Such a small percentage of cyclists and most of you are far to old and your all dangerous on the roads anyway. I'm grouping all you oldies in the same bucket. Old people are dangerous no matter what form...

    My new build

Hello Amigafan, I sold it for £40 laced to Andrew of the forum who came to mine to collect it. It will be useful for someone for parts and still works as it should but could do with a new bearing on the cage but generally it never missed a beat. I retired it though becasue I wasn't getting...

    My new build

Unsure at the moment to be honest. It wont be as high as 30 amps that I was chucking at the BPM. I'll probably set it around the 18amp limit. Maybe a little bit less as I don't want it doing all the work. What I'm looking to do is actually change it so I get a hideous amount of range by...
