    Suggested kit for conversion

That looks a bargain ! The adventure 1 is very high spec. Big battery, just check it hasn't been left for years without use or charging. Worst case you'd have to replace the battery ETA it says brand new conversion with 1 year guarantee Looks a bargain to me

    Suggested kit for conversion

That is very similar to the donor bike on my first ever conversion and it was great and had a lot of pleasure from it, then passed it onto my niece who used it to get round University. Yes, rear battery rack would be good, just make sure it is mounted as low to the back wheel and as far forward...

    Yose power

Yes, I am a KT convert but , if I am remembering correctly, the Lishui controller was a bit more gradual than all or nothing, as you slowed it gave you more power and as you speeded up it gave you less power, although there was really quite a narrow speed band that you ended up in for each pas...

    Yose power

I can sort of see how a speed based controller might suit some people, especially with the legal 15.5 mph limit. You choose the speed you want to travel at, the controller increases or decreases the power to maintain that speed depending on incline, power supplied by the rider, terrain, etc

Review of £360 Argos E-Plus bike

Let us know if you go for one of those options, it seems a very good bike by all accounts and the one that @saneagle bought is being used daily as I understand

Setting a speed limit on bafang mid drive

That wouldn't work very well with cheap hub motored bikes where the motor efficiency reduces dramatically with speed, so at less than 7 or 8 mph on high power levels the controller would quickly overheat

    Bodywel M275 Review

On my estate there are lots of retired people that seem quite affluent. Lots of them have the latest Bosch powered mountain bike that cost many thousands of pounds, with very sophisticated suspension, gears and technology that they religously get serviced every year, but the most they do is...

    Help! Sudoo or soodoo

I think you would be able to buy a new KT controller and Display and attach this to your bike and motor but it would not have the light / brake light capability

£245 Argos Folder Improvements - complete story

Looks good, but doesn't this need a groupset with hydraulic brake levers ? My groupset has cable levers, and I don't think you can just change the brake levers, it's all integrated, need to change the groupset which is very expensive !

Haha, that does look tricky in the photos, must be an optical illusion, just used a standard Allen key, can't remember any difficulty to it !

£245 Argos Folder Improvements - complete story

So that was all stupidly easy I used the adapters off the old cable tektro calipers. All fitted very easily, no rubbing, didn't need to adjust anything. Went out for a test ride - it's miles better, I can lock the rear wheel up now. Much less effort and better modulation. Possibly not...

I don't see the difference with "250w " rated Bosch motors that can reach 28 mph : https://forums.electricbikereview.com/threads/why-are-bosch-motors-only-250-watts.43396/ It they were having a crackdown surely it is more likely they would go after Bosch because of the numbers of motors...

No, the throttle is optional and, if you buy from Woosh the motor is rated at 250w by the manufacturer and this is marked on the motor (similarly the Bosch motors are way over 250w peak power but are rated as 250w max continuous power) Just make sure in the settings to set max assist speed to...

I have followed lots of forum advice in general and @saneagle 's advice in particular ! I am a similar weight and have a 48v rear hub bike and a 48v mid drive bike - either would be excellent. I slightly prefer the hub drive for road use as the motor power isn't going through the chain line and...
