    Cycle helmets debate

I am sorry but I have to disagree with your opinion in this scenario Flecc. I did not state accidents are inevitable but they are certainly possible. Accidents can happen regardless of how much a careful bike rider you are? You only need some idiot in a car or lorry to wipe out all of your...

Yes but will the lorry avoid the cyclist?

    Cycle helmets debate

Some protection is better than none and I challenge you to ride down my delightful road of which I have not got much choice. I actually believe the cycle helmet may have saved lives so I don't think we should knock it? As I said: It is down to personal preference and this is just simply my...

You can easily "poop" off the rear motor inserted wheel on the Wisper SE to fix a puncture :) Not all are the same. Regards Mandy

    Why can't you derestrict a Whisper 905e?

Hi Phil You may be being simplistic but logical is another name for simplistic in many ways Phil. On some other bikes, normally the older models then de-restriction is possible. eg. the older E zee Forte that was not supplied on the market de-restricted could be de-restricted. On new models I...

    Why can't you derestrict a Whisper 905e?

Hi David I had a look at the pics and at first thought he may be listing an SE and calling it an E by accident. But I know is not the case as the handle bars are chrome coloured etc etc. I have sent the seller a question as I am curious as I expect others may have too :) David. is the...

Ezee Forza V Kalkhoff Pro Connect

Hi PinkFloyd You seem to like the Forza although your particular one has an intermittent problem the swap probably won't have? I would go for that as you like the throttle etc of which you would not have with the Pro Connect. I have the SE which I love and has similarity's to the Forza when I...

    Cuocil Compensation...

Hi Branwen Well I think you certainly have a claim if the road is as bad as you say and I don't doubt it for a minute and I would just go for it if I were you and claim. There was a bit on the news the other day about the state of our roads and the lack of maintenance on them. I use a very...

    Wisper battery charger

Hi Flecc Okay then, the chargers supplied by Wisper :( Nobody has mentioned other manufacturers using these chargers as far as I can see and this does all seem to be about the Wisper chargers and that was simply my point. Regards mandy

    Wisper battery charger

By Spannerman: My own obswervations would suggest that the charger doesn't get excessively hot as supplied in a heated kitchen. Spellings??? Go back to your motor bike forum

    Wisper battery charger

Hi James You have obviously not read my post properly? I never said you suggested a child should put there fingers in any holes or immerse the appliance in water. You were stating the obvious that everyone is aware of and simply reiterated it as it is obvious. I was certainly not...

    Wisper battery charger

LOL! Why don't we take a look at all of the electric bike chargers out there and will probably find that each and every one of them is not perfect? Neither are the chargers we take for granted that are within our homes and we all use on a daily basis without harm in most cases if used in...

Yes, as Flecc says it is the lack of wires. It is nice and neat but to get a good one you have to pay more which is not ideal. There are a few wires on a Leccy bike as it is and just means less with a wireless cycle computer. :) Regards Mandy :D

Hi Flecc I noticed that the Halfords one was not so good though and left it on the PowaByke which I will sell with it I have the "Cateye" Wireless Strada for the SE of which I am happy with and as a "Cateye" Velo owner yourself you kind of get what you pay for don't you think with Cateye...

    Wisper battery charger

I would say all electrical appliances that are plugged directly into the mains should be treated with respect and anyone with any common sense will realise you do not immerse in water or get a child to place there finger into any accessable holes so that should go without saying. If you adapt a...

    Wisper battery charger

I'm sorry James but I actually do not use a cake rack as I do not find the charger in my opinion gets too hot. It was merely a suggestion for those who have concerns. My lap top charger gets considerably hotter and I think that most computer manufacturers would be horrified at your suggetion if...

    Wisper battery charger

LOL Nigel! Well done you! And at 50 too! There is hope for me yet at a mere 48! :D Hope you're not putting your Leccy bike out to grass are you? Must admit I used to love zipping around here there and everywhere on my scooters in my younger days, lol!! Did you not hate them bringing in...

I think the CatEye bike computers are amongst the best you can buy, however can be a little pricey but it depends what someone is after really in a bike computer? My halfords one was okay but so slow to respond but was however very accurate with distance, max speed etc so okay. But pretty...
