Replacement battery / battery base - Help!

What is the connector coming out of your battery cradle ? Surely you can just replace the battery cradle and battery and connect it to your controller ? The 9 pin motor cable is standard, but doesn't that come out of your controller ?

Looks a great little bike - disc brakes ! Have you got a multimeter to check the battery voltage ? - I suspect if it has been left for 2 years without charging the battery will not be recoverable eta - they seem to have replacement batteries here ...

Yes the legislation says a 250w rated motor and the motor must not assist over 25 km/h (15.5mph) It's a good decision to stay within the legal limits. Nearly all the advice on here will be for bikes or kits that meet those regulations (or someone will reply that the suggestion is not legal !)...

Yes, if you wanted to buy a good condition second hand bike (as a donor bike) and fit (or get fitted) a conversion kit, you could end up with something amazing and be able to maintain it yourself for years Eg, this Rockhopper expert https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1032833988627942/...

Which motor will get me up hills easily?

So - for the AKM128 (which I think the Wisper 705 and 905 use) with a max 17 amp controller (which I think the Wispers are set to) would get up a 100kg rider up a 10% hill easily with only 50 watts of pedalling power

Which motor will get me up hills easily?

OK just over 10% gradient for a quarter of a mile. There's lots of ebikes that will get a 100kg rider with limited stamina up that. The problem with a torque sensor is that the power that a motor produces is proportional to your pedalling effort - so the less pedalling effort you put in, the...

Which motor will get me up hills easily?

Oh it's single gear ! Won't help with steep hills ! Some info here https://www.reddit.com/r/ebikes/s/ap9VdXiT70 It doesn't look an ideal choice for a 100kg rider with limited stamina in hilly areas tbh Maybe try a shunt mod to the controller ?

Which motor will get me up hills easily?

Just so we get an idea of the gradient , could you say which hill you are struggling with at the minute ? We can check how steep it is and how much power you would need to get up

    Advice on buying an E-Bike

If you are mostly cycling on the common I think the Kenda Kwest 26*1.75 tyres would be ok, but might be worth asking Woosh to fit some more off road orientated tyres. I just fitted some Schwalbe marathon 365 to a bike for my mother in law as "go anywhere" all season, puncture resistant tyres...

Generic battery replacement for Mahle X35 system

Just went out on a ride on my folding bike with the 1.44kg front akm-75 to see if I could detect any gyroscopic effect , didn't really notice anything, maybe slightly less "twitchy" steering compared with the original front wheel. Didn't really notice any difference in steering between it being...
