Hi Lynda Over here in Sitges, definitely, Sitges being Sitges you wouldn't have too go far..... especially in the summer months... its a great place to live, the party season starts in about two weeks with Carnival a mini version of the one in Rio and probably the best in Catalonia and Spain...

Nice colour but living near Sitges and being straight its not the best colour over here to have!

The trouble is I find the spanners fall out of my pockets and my glasses slip off my nose ! :-)

but i can, i have a special plate that comes out and that allows the wheel to spin, the bike then sits on a bespoke centre stand bracket I made up to hold it in position when the front or rear wheel is over opening.

Heres mine!!!!!! doubles for my Triumph Tiger 900 as well, pneumatically operated, beats lifting 27kgs ever time! Machine Mart..... :D

I can remember doing this as my weekend job when i was 16 (now 49), I used to work in B E Browns Motorcycles in Northam Road, Southamton, they were famous for importing all the old Russian motorBikes. Alas they are no more.....Thanks for the memories Flecc!

You can buy a silicone lubricant, a lot less dirty than using oil but you have to clean all the old oil off first using a dissolvent, then soak everything in silicone lubricant failing that WD40 works every time, i did see on ebay a chain cleaner, item number ebay.co.uk 280769891649 regards Neil

Well the bike is all finished and ready for the road, I am really pleased with it but it was minus 4 degrees at 9.30 this morning and a strong north easterly wind all night and day which blew the swinging hammock off the terrace this morning at 3.30am, I tried it for 5 mns in front of the house...

Lynda, you know this, you have lived here but people always have the misnomer that Spain is just a hot country, nearly all the north of Spain and that includes the Barcelona Med coast as well can become very cold, were only 2 hrs from Andorra and its ski resorts, north of Madrid you have Burgos...

I know, but its really cold over here and it was really windy which made it worse and when you have lived here as long as i have you dont mind because you know tomorrow its going to be sunny and therefore it just doesnt matter waiting a few hours :D Neil

Well, I got it out the box, started to build it and then its started snowing over here and its freezing down in the garage so i am going to leave it for a day or so.... Bike looks really good though....

As I type this looking out of my lounge window the first snow flakes of the year are settling on my terrace!! its currently minus 2 outside! Teach me to speak to soon!!! :-)
