    It is a bracket that holds the motor to the frame it is secured to the two bolts on the bbs it is pictured on my charge build tange steel frame which had the same problem as yours then a bit of wd 40 solved the problem...

    Could the problem be solved with a tie bar bracket fixed to the frame ? the California ebike bracket might be the way to go the fs version is neater when fitted

    If you want to bash 800watts for a sustained period and that range you will need a good cell Samsung 30q or Panasonic ga The hailong 1 is restricted in the amount of cells [40 odd] that fit in it the hailong 2 holds more cells[ 60ish] My normal ride has a tiger shark pack in 21ah and 17ah...

    I bought the cheap and cheerful hailong its a bit smaller it was the only pack that fitted in the frame [no power switch on/off ] than the current version most others sell, the 36 volt 13 ah at the time it was only £171.00 each I managed 19 miles per pack with the midrive drawing 900+watts...

    I agree that's why I tried the overseas route in an attempt to save a few pounds:( but I am impatient and wanted it within the quoted four weeks I ended up with the bike finished and no battery:mad: have used yose several times found the service excellent arrived really quick , and the budget...

    I had a nightmare with these earlier this year after 6 weeks and many dates for delivery which passed even emailed the md with no joy I gave up got a refund from paypal and went to insat built and delivered in under a week turned out to be only £80.00 more and hassle free

    Hi Jim Is the metal on the twist a magnet or is it an optical sensor Just a quick coat of varnish and some silicone or the hot glue gun should seal the cable as it goes in amazed how little is involved

    Be carful most alarm cable is 7 strand of 0.2 and is no longer copper [alloy mix] and only is rated at 12 volt one amp and the insulation melts if you draw to much current try ebay several sellers in the motor parts or boat part supply and in various colours and in short lengths and multi cores

    Mine played up most in the garage if I pushed the bike backwards to move it /reposition it , also the derailleur was protesting when I put a new chain on old chain had just a small amount of flex in it

    A good result for piece of mind you could try a chain guide where the front derailleur used to be, mine used to come off at the least expected most :oops: time one area the gsm is better than the bbs01

    Nice build:D How did you get on with the 36 chain wheel I found it would not line up as it is not dished the 42 is the smallest I could get to align, the newer Carrera seems to be an odd bb must of been hard work with a hand file I cheated and used the angle grinder :eek:
