New e-bike battery regulations: Will they make batteries safer, cheaper and repairable?

It's not the power that's the problem, it's the capacity, which is enough room for 39 18650s at 48v or 40 at 36v. Your Molicells are 21700s, so don't fit at all at the moment.

New e-bike battery regulations: Will they make batteries safer, cheaper and repairable?

Be aware that prices are for empty cases and cell-packs. When you have everything to make the battery, it's quite expensive. I see they've reduced their prices at the moment, which brings them to a reasonable level, but the batteries are still too small for me. They'd be OK for someone less...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

This is why politics should be kept out of ebike forums. It's just a matter of time before members start name-calling, slagging each other off and generally provoking disharmony.

New here with a carrera vengeance

When the motor buzzes like that, there's a very high chance of consequential damage, so you shouldn't do anything that causes the controller to send power to it. There are many possible causes, but most likely is a connection issue, so check the connector on the left chainstay very carefully...

Lishui Controller Modification - Firmware Flash Project

KT controller and LCD does that without stealth codes. You set the controller to be completely legal and save the settings. When you start your next ride, you can set it to whatever you want and not save the settings. Those new settings will be active until you switch off, then it will revert to...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Political propaganda has no place on an electric bike forum. Ever since it was allowed in the Brexit thread, it's been driving away forum members. I'm no snowflake. It neither scares me nor influences me in any way other than that it annoys me that it's interfering with my hobby. I hate politics...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

It was a week since 6 days ago, which leaves one day, which is today. Forum admin have to decide whether they would rather be a forum for promoting woke and political propaganda or have me participating in stuff about electric bikes. They're not going to have both. Today is their last chance to...

volt metro old bike new country need battery

The number of pins doesn't matter. In most cases only the outer two pins are connected. You have to look at the controller to see how many wires are connected to the battery, or you can look at the other side of the battery connectors either on the battery or the bike to see how many wires are...

    Value of used, converted bikes

Good point, well presented. I'd give you a medal, but no point because you don't have a chest to put it on. Here's what I'd do. Get a downtube battery for it. Wrap gaffa tape around the battery and frame until you can't see the battery. Change the rack for one with a big platform on it, big...

volt metro old bike new country need battery

If your battery has only two wires connecting it to the controller, there is no way that the bike can detect whether you have a different battery or not. The BMS in a two wire battery manages the battery and has no way of communicating with the rest of the bike, nor can the bike communicate with it.

    Help! Kann mir wer helfen?

If it asks for a password, you have to make logical guesses. Start with 1234, then 6666, 9999, then all numbers between 1970 and 2005. If you can't find the password, you have to buy another one, which will have the default settings and no password. They cost about £60 Euros. I cannot guarantee...
