    Kudos Typhoon review.

I’ve been out playing on a Kudos Typhoon for a couple of weeks and decided it’s time to do a report on Pedelecs. First off, I’ve had a Kudos Tourer for nearly 3 years and I find myself comparing the Typhoon to the Tourer. They’re different animals. The Typhoon looks good when you take...

    Mad or what?

I need to get a grip on myself. After yesterdays victory uphill over a younger cyclist I went out today for a relaxing ride down to the Helix in Falkirk. It's uphill to my home no matter what road I take so decided to try the Typhoon up a hill that I had done on my Tourer just to compare them...

    Small victory

Today I did 30 miles. Part of the ride was through Linlithgow which has a nice slope heading up from Aldi to the palace. I passed a young cyclist on a hybrid bike up the hill. Now, the reason I am feeling chuffed isn't because an ebike can pass a normal bike. No, the reason I'm feeling chuffed...

    Mystery solved.

I've solved the mystery of my deflated tyre. It went down again, so I bought a new tube and stuck it in. I checked the old tube and it had a puncture, I'm not going mad after all. :) After 3 years of ebiking I've had 4 punctures. Only 1 was in the front wheel. Sod's law I guess.

    A strange thing...

I was out on the bike today and other than the horrendous winds nothing was amiss. I got home and stuck the bike in the garage. 30 minutes later the tyre was completely flat. I've blown it up and it seems to be staying up. There is nothing showing as sticking in the tyre. An hour later and it's...

    Kudos Typhoon versus real typhoon

It's been a week since I got hold of the Typhoon and the weather has been rain and gales. However, yesterday morning was warm, sunny and calm. So, out I went. As is usual when out playing I seldom have a planned route. I headed East, that was my first mistake. The Kudos was performing great, it...

    Kudos Typhoon: First impressions

Ok, I have my eager mitts on a nice shiny Kudos Typhoon. As is usual up here the weather has turned back to Winter and this morning when I woke up there was a 20mph wind blowing. So, I went out anyway. :) Only for a few miles as the wind decided to bring the rain with it. First thing to say...

    Plug and socket.

If I wanted to fit a second battery to my Kudos tourer, where would I find a plug to fit into my controller and a socket to attach to my battery? It's got 4 flat pins in a straight line.

    My new top speed.

My new top speed on a flat road is 33mph. My feet going like a spinning top and a smile on my face. Now I know your're all impressed but before you get too impressed I'd best tell you, there was the mother of all tail winds. Going home uphill into that same wind, which was now a...

    Average speed.

Following on from the thread raging about de-restricted bikes, I was checking through all my sat nav logs from my bikes. As I stated in the thread I can indeed hit about 40mph leaving my village and I can hit 27 on a certain cycle path on the flat in Grangemouth, albeit for only a few...

    Woosh Santana CD mini review

I bough a Woosh Santana CD a couple of weeks ago. Due to circumstances beyond my control she's only been out twice so far and then only a couple of miles each time. However, here's a mini review: First so you know why a Woosh CD bike. My wife can't pedal a bike at all so it needed to...

    Horses heads

Out playing today and decided to check on the new horses heads being built at Grangemouth. They'll be 30 metres high and standing each side of the Forth and Clyde canal as it enters the river Forth. It's all part of the Helix You can cycle from Edinburgh or Glasgow via the Falkirk...

    Minimum charge!

I've just bought a Woosh Santana CD for my wife. It arrived on Wednesday so I set about putting it together. I wasn't happy with the front disk brake but as I was going out on a 12 hour night shift I left it alone. In the morning when I got home I decided to take the bike to a bike shop in...

A bridge too far! well almost.

I went out to play today since it was sunny, dry and quite warm. I decided to go to the new Helix park then a couple of canals via the Falkirk wheel. It turned out to be an adventure. First photo stop was at the Helix, where they're building a couple of horses heads which are 30 metres...

    The Helix is coming.

Next Saturday (14th) the helix park opens officially in Falkirk. It's more than a park though it is a series of cycle paths and walkways leading for many miles around the area. It even leads to two canals. Is anyone on here, apart from me, going to the opening? The Helix | A place for...

    At last.....

.... I'm seeing other e-bikes on the roads. I've ran around on my e-bike for 2 years and felt like Johnny-no-mates. Now in a few short weeks I've seen 5 e-bikes including one that looked like a home conversion which appeared to be travelling along at a healthy speed without the rider moving the...

    I held my bottle

Ok following on from my post titled 'sooooo close' I went out today and did the two bridges in the other direction. I had never intended to do the two bridges but well you know how it is, the sun is shining and the bike is willing. So the 2 bridges it is then. Forth then Kincardine. At 38 miles...

    Happy birthday.................

..... to my Kudos Tourer. It's 2 years old today and still going strong. I'm still enjoying it very much. I only did 20 miles today, it was way too hot to go any further.

    I was sooo close....

........but my bottle went. Today I finally accepted a challenge to do the 2 bridges (Kincardine & Forth) with a young chap from work. All the signs were good, it was warm and dry with a slight breeze. I was all prepared: 2 drinks bottles filled with juice, 2 bottles of Black energy...

    New E-bike dealer.

Whilst cycling through Linlithgow yesterday I spotted a gentleman on a small folding e-bike. It was called Dash and I'd never heard of it so I googled it. It turns out there's a dealer listed in Linlithgow. I drove past where it's listed and there was a couple of people with bikes in a gazebo...
