Not quite sure what the cap does - are the two pins connected together, or is it just a waterproof cover? Yours looks like the 2 pins aren't aligned perpendicular to the 'key'/indentation in the green plastic, like most 2-pin connectors would be. Or are there more pins in there? Maybe a photo...
