I've done 38mph on a powabyke,i think the deciding factors must be how smooth the road is,how straight and how busy....don't go faster than you feel safe to do,its no good achieving a magic figure on the speedo only to end up in hospital moments later... good luck :)

the funny thing is,when i fastened the buddha to the back there was neither an increase in speed nor distance...was he facing the wrong way or should have connected him direct to my battery ? If the latter,does anyone know where i can get a buddha connection kit except the banned person that is...

Frank please see Airstream Group Is this the uk supplied battery ? I notice that the power only/power assist show 30/43 mile range which is quite an improvement over lead acid....or are they just guessing ? Mick

When my piggy bank allows.....is the lithium charging the same as lead acid...ie charge after every use (i know you have stated that you charge weekly) or is it best to do as you do.... bearing in mind i need it to last 10 years until i have saved up for another !!!!

Frank, Powabyke was quite late on the scene as regards lithium batteries so is it fair to assume that more substantial tests have been made on these batteries ? Others seem to have had quite a few problems.I am quite heartened by the fact that you charge yours once a week despite the low...

I don't mind paying as long as it gets used. I certainly think that ebike sales could increase if more females get the chance to try them out..Maybe if suppliers of ebikes had a ladies day where they could try them in a safe enviroment then it may help push sales,provide more development and...

Come to think of it,she did mention that she saw a guy on an ebike and commented on how far he had got ,seeing him on the return jouney in the car. I think she can now differentiate between different bikes so things are looking up.

Good idea but if she has even the slightest idea that a hill is involved she won't go at all ! I am sure that once i get her to ride my bike she will be hooked..I think its a case of being scared by new technology,still trying to get the hang of a digi box !!

I imported a car in 1984,there were rumours that the dealers wouldnt touch them but in fact they were very obliging.I suppose it is a bit of a problem when whisper uk say they won't touch them as there is nobody else to go to.

My wife thinks i am a nerd/anorak..firstly for having an electric bike(except when going up a hill on her 'normal' bike and i had to shove my hand in the middle of her back to get her up !). secondly because i go onto this site,i have since explained why and she is a little more understanding...

My air zound has arrived,,not the mk 3 but original in black,,,who cares for that much money...ordered at 3.15pm thurs ..arrived 10:20am sat...... i would class that as excellent service....if you want one i would buy now at that price before they sell out !!

Have a look et the ebike pi on the web minus the engine.You would think that if they were designing something so radically different to what currently exists that the performance would be top notch.The figures quoted show it will travel approx 30miles per charge...which is 30 US miles....about...
