You use more electricity than my daughter mind I did have a heater on part of the time today otherwise consumption would have been 2kWh lower. The system is 3.75kW but the weather looks crap.

Today's crap generation in UK including power cut, note import, export and generation. These numbers tie up with my generation meter, do you have a generation meter or is it all done electronically by the system owner.

There is nothing to service. Still think you have a problem with your Owl, the lack of import as well as export shows that.

anyone have solar panels and can monitor whats is generated used and exported?

You have an Owl setup monitoring yor generation, I have the same and have been using it for 12 years. Nearly all of your pictures are showing no generation. You either have the CT incorrectly installed, not plugged in properly, the battery in the transmitter is low or incorrectly configured in...

    TV..Tonight: E-Bikes & Scooters on itv

99% of what I see are apparently legal bikes ( I'm sure some will be dongled, my last bike was derestricted but to be honest the terrain doesn't justify it). In my immediate area you are either going up or down at 10%+ most of the time and if you aren't climbing you can't really afford to be...

    TV..Tonight: E-Bikes & Scooters on itv

I did find it amusing that nothing was mentioned about minimum age when the father whose house burned was talking about his 12 year old son's toy!

    Chain length

Nealh beat me to it! The biggest problem is that if you can try to select that gear then at some point you will. Whether you are distracted or caught out with a sudden steep incline you will push the lever all the way to bottom gear and snap the chain (no need to ask how I know). That bike only...

Haibike sDuro HardSeven SL 2015 Yamaha (7 Month 1600 Miles)

They certainly were, if it wasn't for the discomfort I have on rough ground (or maybe if I slowed down, but that's unlikely) then I wouldn't have changed the bike. The addition of the extender after hiring a spare battery from a local hire shop (€5 per day) was a game changer enabling much...

Haibike sDuro HardSeven SL 2015 Yamaha (7 Month 1600 Miles)

I changed my 2016 Haibike hardtail for a Merida full suspension bike last month as I had discomfort on rough descents following an operation earlier in the year. One thing I did notice on the newer bikes I tested before purchase was that the transition from powered to unpowered at cut off was...

"Conversion kits to blame in 40% of ebike fires, says London Fire Brigade"

Of course it doesn't but the reality is that correctly designed systems have multiple layers of safety when it comes to potential faults likely to cause a fire. Relying on a charger and connector that could have any voltage is madness. Relying on a BMS alone to dissipate the heat that is caused...

"Conversion kits to blame in 40% of ebike fires, says London Fire Brigade"

There is a huge difference between a manufactured from a kit type bikes (this will include a lot of the 1000W bikes bought on Amazon etc riden by delivery riders)and the likes of Bosch etc.

"Conversion kits to blame in 40% of ebike fires, says London Fire Brigade"

I rather think that 60% of fires are not caused by Bosch / Yamaha / Shimano powered bikes. If that were the case then the German language forums where this type of bike is more prevalent would be full of it. Where I live 95% plus of ebikes are Bosch etc (hub motors would melt), the only fire I...

    2017 Giant Full-e problem

It sounds like the display does have a capacitor and is not communicating with the battery. All you can realistically do is separate any connections (including removing the battery)and make sure everything is clean and dry. Spray everything with contact cleaner while it is apart. If that doesn't...

    2017 Giant Full-e problem

A quick look on Giant's website suggests they do for the current models so I am sure they do for your older one. Another possibility is a capacitor of some sort in there. What happens if you try to switch the bike on with no battery fitted, does the display still light up? Normal behaviour for...

    2017 Giant Full-e problem

The standard Yamaha one has a battery, I would expect the Giant has too. I believe it was a CR2032 in the Yamaha one.

Box for rack to carry stuff.

Your problem with the saddle is likely because you have too much of your body weight on it. Mountain bikes are designed for your saddle to be higher than your handlebars to keep weight on the front wheel to make cornering better and keep the front down when climbing steep hills. When you have...
