    Sinclair c5 revisited

Thanks for the other suggestions, even the BamBuk, especially if you are offering to pay for it, nigh on £10k. I've spotted a 5 point harness on fleabay for my sleepy stoker, she wouldn't be able to flop sideways. It's also possible to fit high rise bars over the seat on the vision, instead of...

    Sinclair c5 revisited

Would you believe it, while looking at this lot, a vision recumbent tandem turned up, with a front hub motor, rare as hens teeth over here, US made. So I'm pursuing that at the moment. Save a lot of work.

    Sinclair c5 revisited

Thanks for that. The tradewinds plan look like the one. That's achievable, maybe 20 inch sprung forks on the front for comfort and an electric motor, I've seen front hub motors promoted on here for such a beast. Or I could swap my Bbs01b 250w over, would that need a differently configured motor...

    Sinclair c5 revisited

What I'm looking for is a two seater where both can pedal. Need bucket style seats. My better half has Narcolepsy with cataplexy, cataplexy being a temporary full body rag doll paralysis, hence the need for a bucket seat. I've looked at a hase pino but she doesn't want to sit up front. A hase...

    Cycling in icy/snowy conditions

Treated myself to spiked tyres. Great. Pics of the pennine bridleway, Littleborough. In places the track was covered in smooth ice.

    Ebike 250w questions

If you get a cadence sensing motor you get assist if you rotate the pedals without effort. For help on hills just up the assist level to full assist. I have a Bbs01b 250w kit with throttle, my choice was to set it at 9 levels, could have been 3 or 5, don't get more power just more steps. I...

POLL: Roughly how much did/will you spend on last/next last ebike (incl. conversion kit if applicable)?

15 Yr old GT Nomad Hybrid, a hand me down from son. Bbs01b kit fitted with large battery. Then a fair bit spent on lights, horn, USB socket, panniers, tools for motor, studded winter tyres - they needed new rims! Also got a pair of cheap sprung forks, sprung seat post and brookes copy sprung...

    Speed links

There was one on my fairly new chain when I fitted the kit, not had a problem with it. They should be as strong as an ordinary link.
