As I think has been suggested, the remaining distance figure is supposed to be recalculated based on the previous 'x' miles (not sure on the value of x). If you have just cycled up a hill, the figure will go down. If you freewheel down a long descent, the figure will go up.

Just seen your other post about the Woosh bikes. The new Freego models claim to have a new motor but it's likely to be less powerful than the Big Bear. The crank motor on your current bike will get up steeper hills than the hub motors you are looking at but up to 20% should be OK.

It depends how steep they are and how heavy you are (sorry to be a bit personal). I would suggest you try a few bikes out for comparison.

Amongst my many bikes I have got a Raleigh Leeds with the 26v Panasonic motor and it is pleasure to ride (along the relative flat). There seems to be so many variables in how various motors are set up and perform - even bikes with the same motor do not always perform the same. Having said this...

I am. I have the max power one that goes up any hill. The downside is the heavier battery in the front bag. Mine is throttle only but I think they have pedelec options now. Done a few thousand miles on mine over 2+ years.
