    Halfords are truly shocking!

To be honest, this shocking setup should (and hopefully) would shame any Halfords store manager, I can't believe this sort of shoddy work is widespread across Halfords, they do have a structured training progression system in place. However, the individual who built the bike should be ashamed or...

    Halfords are truly shocking!

No points for you lol... I think you meant they have the forks 180 degrees out when the tightened up the handlebar stem

    Halfords are truly shocking!

They should get their own staff to watch their own bike build video

Help! Upgraded battery for Carrera Vengeance e bike

I think your Vengence battery is about 8.8 ah, so you'll get about 30% extra range, certainly not double. I'm always on the lookout for a cheap seller of a Phylion SF-06 cased battery, so if you find one be sure to post back here. I think Greenway put these on their bikes

    Yosepower hub kits.

Have been looking at updating my old GT Avalache MTB Yosepower conversion (20 year old bike, v-brakes 26" wheel etc), and a couple of weeks ago saw a deal on a Muddyfox Anarchy 500 ( https://www.sportsdirect.com/muddyfox-anarchy500-938454?colcode=93845426 ). Moved my Yosepower reah hub 26" wheel...

E-Zee Riders - The UK’s first Land’s End to John O’Groats electric bike holiday specialists....

If you had 3 batteries (2 spare) and rode on full assist power, I think 90 miles a day at an average 13-14mph woukd be 7 hours in the saddle is not too bad and with a relatively normal level of fitness is easily doable. Set off by 7am every day, plenty of breaks along the way, in the b&b by...

E-Zee Riders - The UK’s first Land’s End to John O’Groats electric bike holiday specialists....

Shame, it was a good idea, bit too expensive for me. I have a desire to do LEJOG on an ebike one day, although I would most likely do it independently rather than an organised tour. It's the sort of thing that would be great if there was a group of like minded folk looking to do this trip one...

    Kit recommendations

wow, i had no idea it was that much. Am looking to do a couple of big rides soon with carrying 2 spare batteries in panniers bags, so need to factor that in, an extra 8kg and the impact on estimated range

    DIY Mechanical Dongle

Whilst I contributed to misunderstanding the motive for such engineering wizardry, I do admire the technical solution. And well done for finding 2 pulley wheels the exact ratio to convert km to miles

    DIY Mechanical Dongle

Yep, my method of course relies on fitting a £4.99 Aldi bike computer instead of some pulleys etc if you want know the accurate speed/distance

    DIY Mechanical Dongle

genius...but isnt the easiest solution the one I read that you glue the magnet to the inside of the left hand pedal arm (on the inside of the pedal) and reposition the sensor, like this

E-bike chain Vs normal bike chain

I only buy kmc chains now, they last well and are cheap. Plus the 'missing link' system is a doddle to fit and remove

Aldi folding ebike, on sale now £499

Not sure about additional or larger batteries. It uses a S866 LCD display, I wonder if you can adjust the top speed and other parameters?

    Yosepower hub kits.

I picked up another 13ah 36v Hailong from Yose, arrived in the week, payed about £151 delivered from Germany, I think I got the last one in stock. Happy to report all good, seeing peak at about 520w at the wheel on level 5, great range as my other 13ah from Yose. Although these use chinese...

Aldi folding ebike, on sale now £499

OK, so it's got a small (6.6ah) battery, but interestingly, rear motor hub instead of front hub as usually found at this price point. Digital LCD, 36v, adjustable height handlebars, 7 speed, alloy frame and best of all 3 yr warranty. Not much not to like at this price Edit SOLD OUT in Black...
