I prefer flecc’s explanation, It’s less aggressive :-) . There is Toyota in Derby too, a massive “just in time” assembly plant. I realise the Japs put it there for the wider EU market access and Brexit will jeopardise it’s existence and all the jobs surrounding it.

I thought you said GM dumped Vauxhall because they no longer wanted to be in the UK and that Ford moved production to mainland EU long ago. Forgive me, but that sounds like factors other than our leaving the EU caused them to move. I suspect they moved because there are areas within the EU...

It sounds like the exodus is happening then, regardless of whether we leave or remain. It nullifies the argument that leaving the EU will cost jobs. The jobs are disappearing whatever the outcome.

I don't share your confidence, but I hope you are right and that this doesn't make other officers pause a moment too long before acting.

For all of their failings, I think they actually have a soul and a pulse. Theresa May on the other hand.... They say she is quite religious and a Christian. Some of the nastiest & most mean spirited people I have ever met fit into that category. People who deliberately set out to upset and...

T May represents the most dangerous and serious threat to the people of the U.K. in living memory. As far as I’m concerned, anything which neutralises that threat would be acceptable.

This is entirely the fault of the less than useless Theresa May during her time as Home Secretary. Windrush: BBC Article Sir Amyas Morse, head of the National Audit Office, said: "The treatment of people who had a legitimate right to remain in the UK raises grave questions about how the Home...

I’m pleased to hear that the tactic is working. That’s good news. However, even though the officer used official tactics, it’s up to him to justify deploying them. Was it justified? Was a potentially life threatening course of action proportional to the suspected offence (is it really...

I read that article Tommie and was going to post something. It was inevitable that this was going to happen and it perfectly illustrates how chinless & spineless the leaders of key services are. If the officer is to be punished for anything, it should be for not slamming his car into the scumbag...

It’s not looking good for Theresa May. Not exactly off to a flying start. If she was a dog, you’d say her back legs had gone and take her to be put down.

Good, I think they should retract the letter. Never in history has anyone come close to the cake & arse party that this bunch of clowns has made of Brexit. Can it be followed up with Theresa May reversing out of the front door of Number 10, naked, astride a donkey and freshly dipped in raw...

As I said 10% of FA is still FA. The U.K. is the second most generous nation on Earth in terms of actual money donated. It’s the cash which counts, you can’t spend a % symbol. The percentage chart is a favourite of those wishing to undermine the U.K. and USA.

Can’t see how funding the expression of the menstrual cycle through the medium of free dance in Rwanda benefits the U.K.

Public services such as the NHS and the Police have plenty of money, it's just that these services have quota driven appointments to the top jobs. As a result, we end up with fools running the services and wasting all the money. It always strikes me as amusing when we here statements such as, a...

You are right of course, these are all predictions. I think the prediction that aircraft will be grounded with no flying between the U.K. and EU is another, “Emergency Budget” following a Leave vote, moment.

My engineering license issued by the CAA transitioned to EASA Part 66 smoothly and without any difficulties. The same for transitioning to a EASA ATPL. Crew & engineering licensing in EU member states was never anywhere near the high standards set by the U.K. CAA. That’s why much of the EASA...
