I remember Rishi from the days when he played the part of Troy Tempest in Stingray. The lads come a long way since then.

I think he is their best chance, but doesn't that illustrate just how far things have fallen and what the country has become.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Rumours are circulating that Boris Johnson may be a possible successor to Truss. Isn't he still under investigation for lying to Parliament on those occasions when he lied to Parliament? Having said that, it's now a relatively minor transgression of the gutter standards and morals this current...

I can’t see that happening. If the next deadbeat is selected during October, that will be 3 PMs since August! in 10 years time, Liz Truss’s legacy will be a piece of trivia. She’ll be the one you miss when the pub quiz question asks how many PMs has the U.K. had since …. The problem we face...

The following is not a joke. I think she will actually say it: “The Conservative Party is building a world beating U.K. economy which will become the envy of the world.“ She will then accuse anyone asking questions or pointing out the obvious flaws as somehow being unpatriotic, or wanting to...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I’ve done my good deed for today. I saw a family making their way to a hotel. The husband had a bad accident which means he can’t work. He lost his job, couldn’t pay the mortgage / energy bills so they’ve lost the house. All the family must now move into a single hotel room. To help them out...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Not quite. Corbyn wanted to borrow to invest for the good of many. These clowns are borrowing to give the money to people who don’t really need it. £100 extra isn’t going to touch the sides for a low earner. £50K extra for a million pound earner won’t find its way back into the economy. People...

The flower fly-tipping at the palace gates has already started. FFS, I despair.

That makes sense. We need to provide an opportunity for cowboys to set up and skin even more money from the cost of keeping warm.

The one hundred and fifty thousand million pounds that Truss is going to borrow will go straight into the pockets of the energy “manufacturers” and the UK’s network of energy middle men and skimmers. Even if the £150 billion was funded by a windfall tax, profit would still be double the amount...

uncoupling the unit price of electricity from gas would have been a good start. The windmill owners are making obscene profit. This is tainting renewable energy and driving the perception that the green agenda is a scam.

I do exactly the same using a spreadsheet onto which I enter the date & meter readings. Pricing has been made deliberately complex and difficult to make comparisons.

I live in a big old draughty Victorian era house. It’s a nightmare to heat from November through to March. We usually live in just a couple of rooms during that period. Coal and log fires usually keep my energy bills to around 0.75 of price cap. 0.75 of a big number is still a lot though.

Price cap set at £3549.00 There will be some happy faces this morning. My garage has 1500 kilos of coal stacked up In there, the wood store is full and more wood is stored at the top of the garden. Let’s get those CO2 emissions going. Incidentally, I didn’t realise the cost of wind and...

Sadly, that’s not ignorance. It an indicator of the general stupidity of the British public. Your, I dare drive it in the rain quip, although funny, illustrates the widespread lack of ability to think and draw sensible conclusions based on what’s happening in front of them. This person’s...

I‘m so sick of these meaningless statements. They are not specific, measurable, achievable, realistic or have any timeframe attached. Journalists are to blame. What the hell does the $h!t, “Britain’s best days are ahead of us” actually mean? She should never be allowed to get any further...

If you put money in people’s pockets, they will blow it on treats for themselves. ALL of the energy assistance should be in the form of credits on energy bills. We shouldn’t be seeing it in our bank accounts. I put my £150 towards a new Garmin EDGE 1040 Solar and very nice it is too.
