    Error 60

Are you sure the battery isn't just worn out? To only get 10 miles from an 11.6Ah/418Wh battery when the bike was "first purchased" suggests your partner isn't putting much (if any) effort into her cycling (i.e. just "ghost" pedaling?)... that's punishingly hard on a battery. On a bike/battery...

    Raleigh Stow-e-way motor issue

As the motor is spinning, it doesn't sound to me as if it's a motor problem. From previous posts here with similar issues, it's sounding to me as if it's simply the pawls in the freewheel sticking. The remedy there is to lay the bike on it's side and inject some 3-in-one oil into the bearings to...

    E-bike won't wake up

Usually you need to hold the battery button down for a while - sometimes up to 20/30 seconds or so. Other batteries in deep sleep can only be woken by plugging the charger in.

    talk about a learning curve!!

You say you bought these recently... have you tried a warranty claim? You can download the Elife Air manual here, which includes a brief troubleshooting section for your bike which may help (broadly, check ALL the electrical connections), or there're contact details for the bike maker on Elifes...

Are most people here NOT UK based

I wouldn't worry about it @Saracen. I can't imagine anyone is still listening to you, far less heeding any advice you may proffer. You like to hide behind this "I've got Autism" excuse for being plain rude, don't you? Neither of my two friends on the ASD spectrum have difficulty thinking and...

What do you think of my new bike?

Trying to be helpful and constructive here, but the geometry seems just a little off to me: 1) The quite wide spacing between the rear wheel and seat-tube, and 2) the alignment (head-tube angle) of the front fork relative to that seat-tube seems to be angled inward very slightly rather than...

Are most people here NOT UK based

Location IS stated in the Avatar/profile for those that choose to include it - just hover over it or click the down arrow beneath it. All the posters who have commented on this thread so far do state where they are located in their profiles... all except you that is, who I note have just newly...

    New battery

IMO it's almost certainly this one for £191. Your original battery is made by Phylion, tradename JoyCube; it's 8.8 Ah. The linked replacement is a good copy with decent cells and a higher capacity of 10.4Ah, so you'd get more range. Many members on this forum have bought batteries from Yose...

What do you think of my new bike?

Any colour you like, so long as it's black!!! Is it only me getting fed up with the usual black, white, or grey... the same colours as we (the public) mostly choose for the majority of our cars too, apparently. What price point are you aiming for? I'd prefer to see one of the newer Bafangs, but...

    New battery

Photos, a name, a model, some info off the battery, any clues whatsoever... if the OP can't be bothered, why should we? Checking the Raleigh website just now, apart from TranzX and Bosch, they use Suntour too on some models, so it seems the OP is tied one way or another. Maybe we should just...

    New battery

You need to be careful with generic advice here; 6 years ago, Raleigh offered a number of e-bikes using TranzX batteries/electrics (some CANbus, some PST which pre-dates that change) and made big changes to their whole range in 2017/2018 to then include Bosch (also CANbus). IMHO there's a strong...

    New battery

If the casework and BMS are good, you can buy pre-made cell-packs; I've seen some on ebay before, and certainly Ali. Search using the TranzX BL product number. No idea what cells or how good they are, but they are/were cheap (IIRC £150 ish?) And again, you give us no clue as to WHICH Raleigh...

    Replacing DP C18 display

The round 5-pin plug is for bikes that use UART comms, and the triangular version CANbus. Many Bafang displays are made in both versions; you need to stick with the plug type/protocol being used.

    Help! Replacement LY48v1000w controller choice

The best fault diagnostic tool you have available to you right now is @saneagle who's been building, diagnosing, and repairing e-bikes since dinosaurs roamed the earth (almost). There's so much wrong with the stated specification of that battery - apart from the spelling (eg. "capcity") - that...

Tire recommendations for 20" wheel folding ebike

Marathon Pluses (which I have on my 700c wheeled bikes) can be a bit slippy on the wet, but the Marathon Greens (which I have on my 20" folding Fiido that can do 20mph - at a push) are more pliable and grippy. The puncture belt is 3mm on the Green against the 5mm on the Plus, but I've not had a...

Major incident declared at London Luton airport after huge fire breaks out

If there's any truth in that conspiracy theory, they did Luton a favour. Luton has a history of building crap on the cheap and demolishing it soon thereafter (the town-center Galleria multi-story car-park being a good/relevant/recent example), so any helping hand is saving the Council...

Swytch GO - New conversion kit

Lengthy 1/2 hour interview on Radio 4 "Gap Finders" (right now, 5/10/23, started at 12 noon) with the chief Swytch nob ("Oliver"?) about his Swytch kits. Most of those 'phoning in seem to be complaints about pre-ordering and wait times. If you missed it, it'll be on the BBC Sounds app.

Carrera Crossroads HESC controller mode flashing (no power to pedals)

That's not a fault that's listed in the Suntour Manual for that bike... so it may be something as simple as damp/condensation in the display (which often causes issues not documented in the manual). It may be worth removing and putting it in a warm cupboard for a few days to see if that cures...

    Help! Tranzx 24V BMS

It depends what model bike/battery and age. All the later TranzX stuff uses CANbus. How many pins are wired/ connected at the battery output?

Seeking Advice on Affordable Ebike for 20-Mile Daily Commute (£500-£600 = Budget)

When the OP's total budget is £600, all those extra bits soon add up. The important thing IMHO is that the oft-difficult-bits-to-replace like battery, display, charger, torque sensor etc are available to buy direct from the makers website for very reasonable money (curiously the controller isn't...
