Headset Bearings and Forks for Oxygen MTB

A strip of Lexan sheet, cut with scissors to fit around frame. chain etc, bolted to mudguard mounts, make it as long or short to suit - keeps front derailleur mech and cable clean without need for usual close-fit mudguards and stays. Done the same on my partners Giant Anthem FS. Stops muck and...

    Suntour forks creaking

The spray may help, for a while, but as soundwave says the oem forks are lower end. I've just changed my Oxygen forks for a Rockshox Recon Gold version and whilst they're not the ultimate they're a great improvement from the Suntour XCT's.

Headset Bearings and Forks for Oxygen MTB

Recently did a small upgrade on my Oxygen MTB as per title. Before starting I contacted Oxygen for the bearing/sizes, got the sizes but they didn’t have them in stock ATM and after dismantling the forks used a Vernier to double check everything then did some research on the baffling subject of...

Bar end plugs - skinny fit?

I've tried a few manufacturers of bar ends and the all clamped on the outside diameter of the handlebars. Do you mean handlebar plugs that fill the hole, like these...

    Bike repair stand

You could make a simple timber bench style ramp to aid 'lifting', clamp the bike, remove the ramp. Saves lifting the bike completely.

    Bike repair stand

Bought an Aldi version a few years ago, used it all the time and coped well with a Giant Full E, Giant Anthem, Giant Defy, Oxygen MTB. Make sure the feet are spread out well for weighty ebikes.

Don't get me started... Cuts to staffing levels due to budget levels, *******! e.g. A brand new BMW X5 (£55k) plus interceptor kit plus two overweight cops inside it, that only gets used in car chases for a drunken pillock, gets written off etc etc, that must be the wages for at least a couple...

The thieving scumbag should be named along with his address. The police should be taken to court for not fulfilling their duty and/or not protecting the public. Staff shortages or financial costs should not be an excuse for not following this through.

    Hi from the Bearing Man

Superb video. Great to see a proper engineer at work - takes me back to my apprenticeship - good luck for the future. If the almighty Bosch don't change their ways you'll never be out of business.

Hi Dale Welcome and thanks for all the support we've had from you and the team. The MTB is going strong (bought in January) and I'm coping well with the local 15% hills. J

    How to disassemble connectors?

It's a bit awkward to explain by typing, so found this, hope it helps. You could use a mini screwdriver instead of a box-knife cutter blade. If the wires are molded in it's a different ball game - be prepared to buy another connector which has the ability to insert/remove the pins, saw the old...
