    More snow!!!

I recall a few years ago the RSPCA prosecuted for cruelty a bloke who'd gassed a squirrel with car exhaust fumes in a sack. Compared to the official advice, that struck me as quite a humane way of doing it. Guess what? He was found guilty of cruelty. The RSPCA and the idiots who support them...

    In-built lighting - another go

I see from that diagram you want to keep your low beams on all the time and simply switch the high on and off. No need for any dimmer or relay at all then. They'd just be in parallel and the feed to the high beam switched on/off. We're not dealing with loads and currents that are unusual in...

    Building in CREE light

On the second wiring diagram down, you don't even need the relay - the relay is only there to integrate the lights with an existing hi/lo circuit. The simple on/off switch is all you need for the dimmer to work. I would put a master on/off switch in series with the fuse, in the positive feed...

    Building in CREE light

Having just installed a trailing-edge dimmer on my LED PAR30 fittings in my living room I can say that provided the LED lights are designed as dimmable, they do dim. It's not linear though, and it was interesting to see how the LED lamps behaved in parallel with the existing tungstens. There's a...

T6 heads in proper multi units

If that converter is a PWM and not a simple linear device, it shouldn't lose too much efficiency (and I've noticed it said that the lower the difference between input and output voltage required, the more efficient it is), if you use a couple of the 24v or 30V lamps you'd hardly lose anything in...

Built-in bike lighting - everything you could really want / need for £100

2 in 1 3800lm 3x CREE T6 LED Bike Bicycle Light Headlamp Head Torch+Battery Pack | eBay The 3 T6s on this are drawing what, 3x1.5? Could be 4.5A total. Ignore the claimed 3800 lumens, that's a load of bullocks. More like 2000, iwt, but still plenty. Otoh, plenty of light from that will draw a...

T6 heads in proper multi units

Yes, that would work fine. Somewhere on Ali-x or baba or DX you might find a suitable bar switch. Such things were commonplace for older British bikes before integrated switchgear became the norm and I'm sure I've seen the classic and resto market being catered for with such items.

DIN charging kit - can it be powered off bike battery ?

There will be a buck (reducer) driver in the light head which will probably cope with feed voltage in excess of the 8.4V supplied by the battery pack and reduce it to the 3.3-ish V for the current limiter and LED. Oh, thanks for the heads-up on that - I see there's a rectangular one, too...
