Laser projector bike light for the front

Exactly. The whole bikes-with-lights-on in daytime is a barrel of contraditory evidence. There was a groundbreaking study done a few decades ago in urban US areas when it was shown that daytime headlight use didn't make any appreciable difference to accident rates ie, SMIDSYs. Otoh, there is...

Laser projector bike light for the front

Nobody will not notice you? You must be joking - ask any one of the thousands of motorcyclists who've had twats pull out in front of them in spite of having their headlights on. A dopey burger is a dopey burger and there's nothing that's going to make them any different if they happen to be...

Blaze laser-projecting bike light looks for funding | road.cc | Road cycling news, Bike reviews, Commuting, Leisure riding, Sportives and more Won't be long before some enterprising chap from the Far East steals the idea and floods the market with them.

A 250W motor on that is a joke, as is the price.

    Cheating on range claims-no honesty.

We're seeing the same bulls hite that was spouted by the car industry decades ago, before regulation was imposed. Is it any wonder I despise the type of sales person who flits from one easy picking, up-and-coming sales job to another, with no integrity, no honesty, nothing in the way of morals...

    pedelecs are cheating

Very true. The only non-cheaters are the ones who venture into the woods, chop a tree and fashion with hand tools, a frame and wheels of the finest oak, ash and birch. There is a wooden bicycle on the web somewhere. I don't think it will be winning the TdF any time soon, though.

    pedelecs are cheating

I thought by this time it was well known that ** did what he did to show he wasn't in charge of the waves. ** was a better man than those in the CTC, by proper accounts.

Cycle and walking 'must be norm' for short journeys

With some of the major contributors to the Tories being the big brewing families and companies, I don't think we'll see anything soon that will impact their profits. Sure, there will be window-dressing, but that's all.

    Rear light/lasers

Give a man a fish, etc. Teach him to brew his own beer, on the other hand and he'll never get off his sofa.

Throttles-please can you talk me through how you use the throttle on a typical ride.

That's pretty much it, for me. I start moving with no power then feed it in with the throttle and settle into a cruising speed with throttle and legs both contributing. My overall goal isn't to get there as fast as possible - if I'm in a hurry I'll drag the Suzuki out - it's to have a pleasnt...

Throttles-please can you talk me through how you use the throttle on a typical ride.

It was a common fitment on BMWs up to the 80s (standard on some models) and many owners fitted them up to and including now, as an aftermarket item. Different strokes, etc. I had an R80 /R100RT with one fitted - it was great for long motorway stretches, really took the strain off the wrist and...

Possible conversion - is bike suitable and if so any likely limitations ?

<edit> I see it's got V-brakes - you'll be fine. Just fit some older cantilever handlebar levers, especially to the front one and you'll wonder why you ever thought you'd need a better brake.

Reached the limit of my brompton..

Exactly. If were to sit down and design a way of leaving a high-carbon steel insert in a hole, the stud extractor would be the way to do it. Utter, utter, crap. I think I've used them half a dozen times successfully in a lifetime of being careful with them. Well, after the breakages it's easier...

    A pedelec without a charger

Ach, they've missed the obvious - just put a small windmill on the front and charge the battery with that - it makes as much sense.

1000W is 1.25bhp; hardly find a small motorcycle with such a puny power output these days and not since the Raleigh Wisp.
