He's certainly a very popular man.

I didn't like to say, but oldtom's proposal strikes a chilling similarity with events in Germany during the early 1940's. Extermination of the mentally retarded etc. National Socialism?

UKIP are a one trick pony and once BREXIT is complete they will need to learn a new trick or else they will disappear. Farage was UKIP and now he is causing mischief elsewhere, I think their popularity will decline. They need a new leader with similar appeal / charisma.

Isn't that how the system works? One party takes votes from another party by offering something which is more appealing? That's how we arrive at a winner.

    How would the cull work?

He caused BREXIT and nobody on here can stop it. So I wouldn't laugh too much OG. As I keep saying, never underestimate your opponents, it's fatal.

True, but as you know, that is not what I was saying. My original point being that it is possible to remove Farage if his performance as a member of the EU parliament is unsatisfactory. This is something which it is not possible to do in the House of Lords. This statement is not condoning poor...

You could be right. When BREXIT is complete, so is Farage's task. Expect to witness his resurrection at the slightest hint of backsliding, so he still does have a purpose.

If people don't like it, don't vote UKIP, then they will have no EU Parliament seats to fill. They can remove Farage and UKIP from the EU Parliament if they don't like the attendance record. Unlike the Lords.

Slight difference, Farage does turn up and makes speeches, sometimes. Plus, voters could get rid of Farage if they deserted UKIP. How do we get rid of Lord Fuckerty McFuckface and his gigantic forehead?

I think that has been part of the problem with our EU membership. The UK has a tendency to stick rigidly to the rules, whilst our EU friends take a more relaxed approach, turning a blind eye to some aspects and using tactics such as you describe with others.

It's in decline and facing downward value pressure. Fracking is the up and coming technology.

I like it. Good point. I'm bound to say that I don't think it is though.

I believe the UK can survive and prosper outside the EU. I don't think that Scotland can.

It's only an opportunistic vanity exercise for The Tiny Scottish Idiot Woman. I wouldn't pay too much attention to her. Scottish people weren't daft enough last time and they won't be daft enough this time. If she did achieve and somehow win a second referendum, I can't see Scottland gaining...

Just seen Baroness Dr Seuss on TV talking about Lords claiming £300 a day for attending, but not taking part in proceedings. Apparently, some turn up in a taxi, sign in and then immediately leave. All done whilst the taxi waits outside! Baroness Dr Seuss has taken the decision not to name the...

I remember an article that she wrote about the Parent & Child reserved car parking spaces you find close to the entrance door at supermarkets. She was proposing that these spaces should be re-located at the furthest extremity of the car park in order to make the podgy parent walk some of the...

We've not seen the final deal yet. She has to make the right noises about being prepared to walk away. Let's wait & see what happens. I'm very disappointed with Corbyn, unless he knows something we don't and is playing a clever game.

It would make negotiations pretty tricky from the UK side if they had to keep going back and forth with every proposal and amendment. It's always better to deal with the Organ Grinder and not the monkey and this effectively makes May the Organ Grinder.
