    G-tech bike,has anyone seen a proper test

I disagree. By Christmas, the Gtech will be the best selling e-bike ever in the UK, except perhaps the Sinclair C5. The Gtech should be the benchmark. It does not mean it's the best, but it shows the way that UK e-bike market can expand and should expand.

    Bafang 350 watt BBS01 - could I sell it?

yes, Bafang are still doing them. Personally, I wouldn't worry about the Bafang's label. Nobody is going to make a big issue out of it as long as you limit your bike to 25kph.

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

you may have noticed, not a pip from me on woosh products since this thread starts. I have already accepted the views expressed here and thank you for your posts. Be assured that I will refrain from plugging woosh products in the future. Any plug for woosh will have to go through Woosh account...

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

I see your point, Paul. I think any plug for woosh from now on will have to be under woosh trade account and signed as 'this post is by an associate (trex)'. if replies to questions are subsequently needed in the same thread, for example, would it fly up Winnats? would it be OK that the...

he is the boss of fli distribution ltd which imports KTM products. I would suggest Col gets given an associate account so he can post freely about all sorts of issues as an ordinary member and not held in a straightjacket with KTM badge on the back.

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

I accept there was ambiguity. A few months ago, this was resolved by HelenJ adding There has not been ambiguity since. The problem resurfaces when John felt that I crossed the line with my thread on my new shiny toy. It's irritating to John. I accept that. I am not worried about members...

    Leaving the EU

I wish the Brexiters just stick to trying to win the heart of their voters with 'you want to keep this green and pleasant land, we don't need more development, thank you'. The more they try to take on the Bremainers on the economy, the more people will vote to remain.

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

I can see that. Except most of the time, I participate to the forum on a hobby basis (e-bike technology) and also, it's awkward to make a technical comment on an issue with a product when wearing a logo. Some people may think that you are biased because the entity you are associated with does...

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

perhaps the solution is a semi-trade account with a signature like this 'Although I am an associate of Woosh Bikes, this account is for personal use, views are my own.'. There must surely be a number of members in similar situation, working for or connected in some capacity to e-bike companies...

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

that's an easy choice if you have the funds. the biggest worry for woosh is derestriction so I have to use geared hubs, especially those with high reduction ratios.

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

If you wanted a woosh crank drive bike, you ring in, they will probably ask for your age if they can't suss it. If you are not a pensioner, they'll ask more questions. It's to do with whether you are more or less likely to derestrict the bike. Hub bikes don't get so scrutinized. The process has...

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

it's difficult because my views are personal. If I happen to make a recommendation, it may not be the same that woosh would make if the customer calls their phone. A typical example: I like crank drive bikes, woosh people don't, for them, Big Bears are the ones.

    Leaving the EU

the problem with our permanent budget deficit (the last time we had a budget surplus was when Kenneth Clarke was Chancellor under John Major) can only be solved with higher taxation. That is not going to happen outside the EU because both our biggest parties are funded by and have no compulsion...

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

Tillson, I can ask to have access to the woosh account but I can't tret on their toes (Hatti's and Andy's, Andy will take over from Hatti in a few years when she retires), they will tell me where to go.

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

about recommendations, it usually takes me a second or two to think of a suitable model for the OP, so the temptation is there to save Hatti and/or Andy's time to post. I also find sometimes embarassing to recommend a bike that I have not ridden. if there is an issue of perception about these...

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

Mike, woosh have a trade account, Andy or Hatti normally post there. They are always busy, so don't have much time to post unless it's a corporate issue (eg somebody makes a complaint). I am retired for a few years now, so have plenty of time to post. Sometime I post about a new product, other...

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

what makes that particular thread 'trade stuff' though? other than the pictures, the information on the woosh Bermuda thread that I posted are from the prototype, therefore can't be confirmed until the shipment arrive in a few weeks. I can't see any harm in posting a bit of technical specs. I...

    Trade versus Non Trade Membership?

this thread comes about because of my posts about the new woosh Bermuda that I helped to make. that's mean, don't you think?

before shemoz tells me off again for inappropriate use of proprietary graphics, here is the link to the value of the Pound against the Dollar (it's roughly the same against the usual basket of currencies) between 14th May and today: http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=GBP&to=USD&view=1W 1...
