    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think you may be mistaken. BREXIT has never been about throwing people out of the UK. Many of them make a positive contribution to our society. Throwing them out would be a bad move. BREXIT is more concerned with controlling access to the UK from people who are not yet resident here.

Who said anything about throwing people out? Are you fabricating a situation which doesn't exist?

Take your finger off the fast forward button. Press pause, take a deep breath and calm down. Have a walk down to the Co-Op and buy a few coffin nails if it makes you feel better. Honestly, I bet you are one of those people who book their space in the cemetery at the first sign of a sniffle :-)

For me personally, taking into account my financial arrangements, my business and my employment, I think that financially, I will be about the same and my business could well become much easier to administer. So to answer your question and with all things considered, I think I will have a...

Me too. A lesson to trust your instincts and not to be held prisoner by the fear of change.

I think the EU will change after we have left. If it doesn't, its demise will be more certain than it is today, as if that were possible..

I totally agree regarding the value politician's promises, but this is something very different to a manifesto promise or a pledge. BREXIT is an issue which has been simmering for decades and something which the public were recently asked to engage with. I don't think the politicians can break...

I'm over it. We are heading out of the EU. That was the promise, that's what is being delivered.

The word "Advisory" never appeared once in the public arena prior to the referendum. This thread started way before a single vote was cast and I'd be surprised if anyone mentioned it being an "Advisory" process prior to that point in time. The official line from the government was that the...

This comes back to the destructive fixation on the negative aspects of BREXIT. When The Express print something positive regarding BREXIT they are a worthless rag. When they print something which is aligned with your personal negative view of BREXIT, they correct.

So today The Express is a valid source of news. Funny that.

I think that today has been a good day for BREXIT. We now know what Mrs May will be asking for on behalf of our country. I think she has established a firm footing for the commencement of negotiations and I have been pleasantly surprised. There is always a negative side and today the down side...

If these people are so clever, why has Donald Trump got all the cheese and these people are just writing about how they could invest more wisely.

I am aware of the smear campaign being run against him by sore losers. Last night I saw that the BBC had spent some of my licence fee making an anti Donald Trump programme. He's extended friendship towards the UK, backs BREXIT, seems intent on improving relationships with Russia and wants a...

Are you suggesting that Trump is a fool? It's not really clear what you are saying. Trump, a billionaire, a man voted in as President of The United States. Arguably the most powerful man in the world. Not really the definition of a fool.

flecc, I wasn't trying to show that you have an inconsistent view. If that came across, then an apology is due and please accept it. KTM was saying that a high and rising FTSE is not a good thing when caused by a devalued pound. I was pointing to previous examples where people had suggested...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

A lower valued £ isn't necessarily a bad thing. It is currently below where it should be, but I think it was probably over valued prior to the referendum. The FTSE 250 is interesting. Post referendum, when the 100 index rose and the 250 went down, all focus was on the 250 index and how that was...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The tone of language being used by the EU's leaders towards the UK is confrontational and is loaded with insinuation that we will be punished for leaving. Other pro-EU contributors to this thread have also indicated that they expect the EU to suffer economic pain after we leave so that they can...
