I am confused now... are you going to use TSDZ2B and bike parts to make flat packed self assembling Ikea furniture?

5 separate punctures on a 14 mile journey home

You check it with your fingers, not with your eyes. When you locate puncture on inner tube you know more or less there tyre was punctured. Put fingers inside tyre and check gently (so you won't hurt yourself) for presence of any unwanted objects like thorns etc. I check while wearing rubber...

Great. ...I will tell you a secret: As forum member you are entitled to get TSDZ8 motor at discounted price. It is theoretically a great motor: https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/woosh-starts-shipping-tongsheng-tsdz8-with-250w-label.46570/ I just got mine delivered few minutes ago.

non-folder to fit in the boot?

Bike will be 2-5kg heavier. Pain in lower back to put it in and to take it out, but it can be done.

non-folder to fit in the boot?

I have super mini and was transporting two bikes with front wheels removed. I prefer rack though. Weight might be bigger problem than size.

Big battery or small battery plus a spare?

After you convert to e-bike you will probably cycle more often and for longer distances. One decent battery should be enough.

It is interesting how many e bike batteries are NOT locked.

And how mudguard is mounted to your frame? Zip tie? At the end of the day it is just a flimsy plastic. One kick and it will be in pieces, but if you are happy with that, then keep it. I think I prefer this £5 battery lock.

My battery is unlocked all the time. Lost all keys :( Can't you just slide down this Hiplok after you break mudguard with your hands?

It is normal when somebody keeps changing inner tubes, but doesn't check tyre for thorns/nails etc.

I appreciate your sentiment. You say you are not happy with your brake pads, but it is likely you might need to change whole brake to see real improvement. Bikes4two mentioned top of the line Magura brakes. They have very good reputation. Here is something cheaper...
