    Tthoughts on this kit?

How about this company: Electric Bike Conversions For the money you get a powerful front or rear kit, complete with battery. Fast delivery from a company based in the UK, plus a no quibble 12 month warranty. I doubt you'll get any better deal than this ;) I started a thread about them many...

    Tthoughts on this kit?

Think about warranty too. Woosh will be much easier to deal with than a company in Taiwan, if indeed they honour a warranty in the first place. Woosh do honour warranties and quickly and efficiently too. Generic Chinese kits will never be built to standards of top car manufacturers, and you...

How on earth does he get away with this?

I think you'll find a lot of UK legal pedelec owners over here share your thoughts. It's amazing what a difference another 4.5 mph makes. At 20 mph, the feeling of slow disappears, for me anyway. It's just a really nice happy medium between useable speed and safety. I reckon if the UK law was...

Humane way of scaring off unwanted neighbourhood cats

Having three cats ourselves, we're always finding neighbourhood cats in the back garden, either looking for a fight, or trying to sneak in the back door for a free feast. We were getting tired of chasing off these unwanted cats, and a jug of water is time consuming and not always accurate...

This creaking is driving me crazy - any ideas?

I started a thread a while back, when I had a creak which I thought was coming from the headset, but turned out to be the seat clamp: http://pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/mystery-creak-solved.22871/#post-287141 Noise travels along the frame and makes you go crazy trying to diagnose where it's...

Eclipse Bikes: http://eclipsebikes.com/bafang-8fun-bbs02-drive-750w-motor-p-1100.html Out of stock at mo. E-mail them to see when they will be getting some more in. I wouldn't be tempted to purchase overseas. These kits aren't bombproof, and the UK warranty is a good thing to have without...

    Hosehold appliance wiring colours?

Do any of you bright sparks out there know the reason why household appliance wires are brown and blue? Why not red and black, is it something to do with the fact it's AC and not DC? This forum really does need to have the option to edit thread titles

bafang C965 display - set wheel diameter

This resets the trip mileage counter. When this is showing, press the '+' button so that the display shows 'y'. Leave it a few seconds and the trip counter will reset itself. This will only reset the trip counter, not the total mileage counter!

bafang C965 display - set wheel diameter

This might help, but may depend on whether you have the 3 button or 5 button handlebar switch. Definitely works on my 3 button switch: https://electricfatbike.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/c965-manual.pdf Scroll to chapter 9 for details on how to enter password protected settings. Wheel...

Greyp g12 for sale very fast bike

Nice bike Francis. Are you planning on adding 'Make an Offer' to the listing, or are offers restricted to Pedelec members? I'd love to see this go to a forum member, so we can get the low down on how it performs :)

Ebay seller ' Electric Bike Conversions ' seem to be doing well :)

That's a shame. In Bafang's defense, they are listening to their customers and improving the units, but alas poor QC at their factory still prevails. In the scope of things, the BBS01/02 units are quite complex little beasts, so I don't think they'll ever make them totally bomb proof. The BBSHD...

Experience/opinions on these two batteries for Bafang BBS01 350W?

Not exactly a deal breaker, but the top one has a handy carrying handle built into the case. Don't think the Hailong has this feature.

Strange problem: power through one pedal only

Both the disc and the sensor with the cable should be nice and clean. Check that as the pedal rotates, the disc passes the sensor in an even and uniform manner, and that it's nice and close but not touching the sensor. Also make sure the disc is nice and secure. If the plastic is cracked, it may...

Strange problem: power through one pedal only

You might have damaged the PAS sensor disc on the bottom bracket. If it has been forcefully moved out of place, it might be rotating a bit wonky or at an angle. Then the disc might only be activating the receiver intermittently , causing the on/off symptoms you describe.

    BBSxx maintenance intervals?

Great links. Looking at the spec sheets, there doesn't appear to be any conclusive evidence that the Comma stuff contains petroleum. This can only be a good thing, for if it does seep through to the nylon gear, then it shouldn't damage it. As for lubing the nylon gear, you mention that it was...
