Let's hope the LBS hasn't been following this :)

Front of bike (headset or suspension) doesn't feel right

I don't know any mech eng so a pinch of salt is called for, but you said all the bolts were tight... what if a mating surface weren't flat but slightly convex, would that snug up tight but rock under load? Like if a caliper mount were badly machined? On your video the rim's moving a lot, so...

    Battery help required

Welcome to proprietary bikes: different connector, differing orientation. You took the 625 battery with you and presumably asked for a compatible 750 and they supplied this one. Clearly stating your intended application makes the retailer responsible for fitness for purpose under the Consumer...

    Capacitors in KT Controller blown

With component values K means times 1000, so 198 Ohms and 198K Ohms are different. Just in case overheating is the cause any parts you replace could use a higher power rating, so either one larger resistor or four in series-parallel. It looks as though the shunt itself is overheating too.

    Battery Fires

New York had a similar problem to London and reportedly a strong delivery culture. Anecdotal but europeans I know say ebike fires haven't reached the news there and that delivery services aren't common in major cities. I hope this OPSS ebike video has been distributed well; oddly the scooter...

    Capacitors in KT Controller blown

That too _could_ read 1K and it's failed open circuit: if it were more than 7K a smaller and cheaper one could have been fitted. The cause of failure still needs finding and fixing.

    Battery Fires

Stock in circulation represents around 6 to 10 times annual sales figures so that's a good point. We need to be clear that those are a few of many plausible suggestions but not established. Fire service reports have been noting 'on charge at the time' which is a bit like saying 'deceased died...

    Capacitors in KT Controller blown

The one in Caps2.jpg could be 1K 5% 1W. But both boards look darkened around the shunts, suggesting they're overheating enough that problems will recur. You could reduce the controller's maximum current to 80% so that the shunt makes 2/3 of the heat, or try replacing it with a string of...

    bf rmg06 36v 350w (10) Suitable controller?

AFAIK, yes. Bafang mid drives (1) can have a controller built in that is specific to the motor but yours is a hub drive. Your connectors are typical for motor and battery without comms, so as long as the cables at the bottom right are their only cables you'll probably be OK. (1) or...

    Battery Precautions

There's more energy in a cup of petrol than a full battery so the risk is ignition rather than spread of fire, and if it does catch fire you can't contain the hot gasses. If you remove the battery it might be best done outside the shed :) and don't seal the container tight. Yes the risk is...

    bf rmg06 36v 350w (10) Suitable controller?

You should have no trouble matching your present controller's voltage and current, near enough, and probably find a sine controller. BF & KT wiring schemes differ a bit so check the plugs. If anyone points to the 350W motor marking the 7A or 8A rated current makes it about a 250W rated system...

    Help! My next project

Here are some 26" air forks under £120, the next 'band' seems to be £160+. All sound much the same but vary a bit in the details they leave out. Not heard of these brands, maybe because no-one could pronounce them. Are they decent quality? How would you choose? -1- -2- -3- -4-...

Which controller kit do i buy?

Here's a simulated work-out on a random MTB to get an idea of power levels, for example at 45kph from the rider 250W and battery 720W. An upgrade from 17A to 25A sounds like 916W to 1347W but the controller's rated for 1000W peak and luckily the power will fade as it heats up. As you say 916W...

    Mountain bike brake pads

I've come across advice to toe V-brakes out if they're noisy. Yours look set a bit high, the tyre can deflate suddenly if they wear the sidewall.

    Handle bars

The Motus is built to be a comfort bike and there's a good chance of straight bars not working well in that setting. Firstly check you've the right frame size and that the saddle's fairly high - typical 'comfort' posture. Then. when adjusting the angle of the grips small changes make a big...

Bosch Explains All the forthcoming new regulations

Agreed, for most of us. 750W and 100kg all up climbs 8.5% at 15.5mph. Pedestrians would get caught out if the acceleration were unexpectedly high. I don't know if the police are allowed to test in motion but a time to reach, say, 15kph would be more pertinent than a power limit, and we know...

That's interesting, is there actual evidence that 4-wheeled EV's are prone to catching fire while charging?
