Why the Bafang mid drive has rekindled my passion for pedelecs

Most injuries, what, does your careful statistical analysis encompass intensity of injury too, and fatal ones? Could you point me to your sources? And surely your methodology is null for this very reason :the injured people were wearing a helmet... Oh btw we're not talking about cycling here...

    'Look where you're going!'

Me too, sorry to hear that. Hope you're feeling better.

Why the Bafang mid drive has rekindled my passion for pedelecs

Yeah God forbid you look silly, much better to get your brains smashed out. The only reason why people have to wear helmets is because the government wants to destroy freedom forever. What country is your heroic rebellion occurring in? I'd say you're in the running for a Darwin award but...

    Querry about stem/post

I think one of these or these might do the trick : http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/201237946131?_mwBanner=1 http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/190679404415?_mwBanner=1 Plus there is a particularly swept-back handlebar design called the humpert englischer which could help bring things back further.

Matching paint colour for replacement fork for donor bike (or alternatively a diy V-brake mount)

I realise this isn't quite a pedelec thing, but it has arisen in the context of my buying a donor bike to convert. It is a lovely bike, a Dahon Cadenza with an Alfine 8 rear hub gear, but is quite scratched, and I may have to replace the front fork to fit a Xiongda motor, as mine has no V-brake...

    Connectors and controllers

This looks interesting (I need some myself) but the ones in Britain are annoyingly expensive.

Who says manufacturing in Britain is dead?

I heard the coalition are also responsible for photosynthesis, the weather, and the seeding of life on planet earth billions of years ago.

    Connectors and controllers

I wonder if a car breakers yard might have some of the genuine plugs , or an automotive spares shop.

    Connectors and controllers

Me too. I'm going to try some standard UK 30A termination blocks. Big but no choice. A pound at fleabay or wilko.

    eBike conversion kit help

I also think it would be reasonable were the moderator to remove untrue disparaging statements about the Xiongda.

    eBike conversion kit help

What are you talking about? Bafang have no UK legal product which is competitive with the Xiongda two speed at less than 4.8kg or so for the CST - which is pricey, rare, and unavailable in front drive. Bafang kits are usually sold from Chinese sites without so-called 'waterproof harnesses'...

    eBike conversion kit help

In fairness, that 'probably'about needing a wheel rebuild I think overstates the matter by some way. I do indeed hear (like you say) that some motors have odd offsets-from-centre, so that any wheelbuilder may find that they've mis-dished the wheel for the bike. However, firstly you just don't...

Bike Cameras. The Negatives and Positives of using them

Perhaps you could please point out for me what part of what I wrote lent itself to what you say it does. Cars are to be feared. I think we agree on this. After all you did say that people being driven at should fear that and get out of the way. And as for aggression, what's to be celebrated...

    Cyclezee Torque Arms

Hi, I read that on a rear kit, one torque arm only is usually enough for a motor like a Bafang CST HT, which suggests to me that there might be a 'correct' side for it to go on - yet I can't find which side that is. Would you know please? Many thanks, Jonathan

Bike Cameras. The Negatives and Positives of using them

If a driver forces you to get out of the way that's pretty ******* wrong. That deserves at least a bang on the roof if not a dent in their door and perhaps a criminal conviction. There is properly no obligation to retreat from an aggressor, in the criminal law, and I think on any decent view...

Commuting bike for 50 mile round trip

It's going to take 2hrs each way. 1hr 40 plus prep and having to slow down for stuff, go to the loo etc. 4hrs a day is a more than many people spend with their wives, children, or, often, concentrating at their jobs. After a full time job that'll give you time only to wolf something down and go...
