    Brexit, for once some facts.

Trump just tossed a few more balls into the air to divert media attention from talking about what he promised his voters he will deliver on day 1 because he can't deliver what he promised. He won't be able to force peace in Ukraine or peace in middle east or reduce inflation or close the...

Charles Moir was the managing director of his company, Computer Concepts Ltd. Rumours had it that in 1981, he wrote WordWise over a weekend, the best selling software for the Beeb. It was reputed to earn him a cool £8 mil, an enormous sum of money back in those days. I visited their HQ in Hemel...

Unless you ride like a lunatic, I don't think anyone would worry about you going over 15.5mph by one or two mph while pedalling. The problem is with those who derestrict their bike then use the throttle to go faster than they can pedal.

No milkfloat can do 0 to 60 in under 6 seconds, especially for the price 20k to 30k. The fact that VW Group, GM , Ford, etc now make a good effort to make and sell EVs is proof that they are decided, sell EVs or die.

the manufacturer can do road tests but this is unnecessary because it's an automatic pass. You don't need more than 200W to keep the bike and rider at constant 25km/h on a flat road. 10% allowance is given for road friction if you do road test. As all the bikes are tested under the same...

TONIGHT 9pm: - E-Bikes: The Battle for Our Streets - Panorama

The important point is the test is made on a flat road. This point is often missed even by long time ebikers. On flat roads, you only need to beat the headwinds to maintain your statutory 25kph assisted speed. The power required is much less than what is needed to climb a steep hill, about 200W...

the guy has a twist and go throttle that has been banned since 2016. If he had a throttle that requires pedalling first, police would have not been able to test his bike. This said, I did find that clip worth watching. Best way to explain the law to new ebikers.

how would you prosecute those who are not identifiable? The size of the problem is in the UK, 115,000 cases of child sex abuses are reported every year and not prosecuted. Compare that to those who are old enough to drink alcohol and take drugs and climb into cars with dodgy men.

Presumably the perpetrators have been jailed. Those cases went back to 2014. Plenty of time for Suella braveman to sort them out. She is the one to bring the subject to front line politics, well before Musk waded in.

the Daily Mail, Suella Braveman made the story bigger than what it was. The gangs were jailed for their crimes. Nowadays, such grooming would be tackled pretty quickly by the local authorities.

that's not fair. Baroness Jay's public enquiry into child sex exploitation cost us £200 millions so the charge that we didn't want to know is false. The gangs in Rotherham and Oldham got jailed. Years ago, one of my clients was a law firm working on part of the Yewtree operation, just the Essex...
