The Best Mobile Telephone Ever Made for only £9.10

I didn't say it wasn't personal taste, but I wanted to address the general sentiment that to read text from a forum it's imperative to have an i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 100Mbps connection. It's also important to understand that bandwidth and speed are different things. Sent from my HTC...

The Best Mobile Telephone Ever Made for only £9.10

It's not a speed thing. It's a convenience thing. Tapatalk, as many apps for smart phones, is dedicated to one task, and so much more streamlined. My laptop is of a similar spec to your PC. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    Any ideas or suggestions?

A Re-cell is possible, but not usually worth doing unless it's the only option. It's usually easier to fit a different/new battery. It may be possible to fix the existing battery, but it depends what's wrong with it. I have repaired a few with broken joints and balance problems. To advise...

Electric bikes for 14 year old boy

Seems to me like Kudos/woosh are missing a trick here. There must be a market for sub £1k bikes for the youngsters who are too young or hard up for a moped/car but who need mobility, and don't want to look like they nicked grannies shopper. I will build something for the boy in 5 years when he...

    Newbie - battery charging question

The only real, practical choice for off grid charging is a generator. I don't think you'll be wanting to carry one of those around. The other option is a spare, charged battery. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Electric bicycles and mopeds: there are no ‘grey areas’

I would assume that's if you want to build and sell off road motorcycles, not use them. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    Newbie seeking advice, please

Hi Susan, That Cruiser looks OK for the money. (I've never seen one, so I'm just going by the spec). The components are pretty standard Chinese stuff, same as you find on most sub £1000 bikes and £895 is about the correct price. To compare batteries, multiply the voltage x Ah giving Wh. So...

Rear brushed motor wheel - Centering rim

I don't understand the problem. Why not just dish it? Usually, with a combination of dishing, and a 5mm stretch of the frame, with an anti rotation washer on the inside, non drive side it should fit. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    DIY EBIKE

I have (too) many bikes, both electric and vanilla. I would never bother riding any of my electric bikes un-powered. Any motor will add weight and a little drag. Non powered bikes are so cheap that it doesn't make sense. I just have an electric bike and a non electric.

I didn't really intend it as a wiring diagram, more a schematic to to illustrate the differences (series/parallel) and to highlight the only 3 valid combinations of 4 batteries. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Convert peddle assist only to throttle and peddle assist

    1. Assuming the controller has input for throttle. If not, a new controller (£20-60). 2. No, it needs to see a pulse, otherwise it would continue to run if you stopped the pedals in the right (or wrong) place. If you put a magnet on the wheel, once started it will continue to run until you...
