My unfitted PAS sensor consists of a plastic ring with magnets and a separate sensor itself with metal ring and leads to controller. Can this metal ring be cut and remain so and still work ? Ie if , when fitted, the ring is no longer completed but has a few mil gap does this stop the pas working ?

Thanks d8veh - ku65 ordered . Even if 8 fun do send me a new one - a spare controller and panel is now essential kit as far as I'm concerned ! And, I wonder , could the signal in the green wire be as simple as a momentary break ? Might try when I get home this evening

Me, yes absolutely - a beautiful thing indeed. Not very light , battery prob too small , expect its a ****** to pedal unpowered and the price likely insane. But I would still covet !
