    New Electric bike shop, Devon

Thought this might be of use to anyone about to make a purchase. There's a new shop about to open, coincidentally in my village of Woodbury, East Devon. It's nothing to do with me I assure you. I think they said they will be selling Bosch, but they definitely said 'the high end stuff'...

    Kit On The Way.

I bought some of these the other day, perfect. I didn't bother with a proper tool, just a nut/bolt/washer. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361339805950 Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

5mm is the normal thread size for a bottle cage. Aluminum ones are what you need. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

Connecting lights to generic chinese controllers...how?

You will need to put a meter on it to be sure, but I'd guess black/yellow give battery voltage when switched on from LCD. You will either need a light that can run from 36/48v, or a buck converter to bring it down to whatever voltage you need. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    New Gtech ebike

I can only get down to 6.2 wh/m with my controller on low, which is 4A. To be honest, at 4A its almost not worth having, and would certainly disappoint an non/new cyclist.

    Lightest 250w rear hub

Not really, although they use it. Its made by Bafang, and can be bought from Woosh (I think), BMSbattery and others. Possibly Panda but I don't know. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    Lightest 250w rear hub

Agree with that. As a cruiser owner myself, keep the nexus, use a front hub. They don't get much better than the BPM. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    New Gtech ebike

I have considered it. I did ask earlier in this thread about range, but no results ever came back. On my geared MTB, with road tyres I can get down to 6.2 wh/mile. I cannot imagine getting close to that on a single speed machine, which is what's required to get the quoted 30 miles. Sent...

    G-tech bike,has anyone seen a proper test

They can't do that, because it has a rear hub motor. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    Battery Options

Nothing illegal about 48v, but most of the industry has settled for 36v. For a given weight (i.e. same number of cells) the amount of energy stored is the same, no matter what the voltage. The stored energy is measured as Watt-Hours, (Wh) which is V x Ah. If a system is designed to operate at...

    Bafang 350 watt BBS01 - could I sell it?

You might have to forgive SW. English is not his first language, and the laws of basic arithmetic don't apply on his planet. If you want to stay legal, stick it on ebay. There will be plenty of people willing to buy it, as it's unlikely they will be caught. If I were in your shoes, I'd just...

The part you are calling 'pas controller' is more correctly termed the display. It has little intelligence, and is often an optional component. If it's knackered, most controllers will work without it, although you may have to short out some pins. PAS = Pedal Assist System. Sent from my...

How best to look after second hand battery - charging advice please

I had assumed they were a fragile new species, desperately trying to find a niche in an largely occupied ecosystem. Well, that's the excuse I've been using to not wash the b@stard car anyway. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

    Controller box

On the subject of tyres, I have a 26" x 2.0 big apple spare (Almost new, I prefer the bigger 2.35's, and you might too). I'd happily swap it for your redundant controller box if it the right size..... Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
