    Leaving the EU

And that £176 comes from my taxes and NI contributions. Where does the £176 to see an unskilled unemployed immigrant come from? Moving away from the statistics for a moment. 15 years ago: GP appointment within 24 hours. Today: GP appointment 2 weeks. What has changed? 15 years ago: Sparesly...

    Leaving the EU

I don't mind if you'd rather not confront the reality of the situation. It's a human instinct, so understandable. The EU is a major part of the problem. It attracts ecconomic migrants from all over the world. Many have nothing to offer and become a burden. Leaving the EU won't cure the...

    Leaving the EU

I take your point trex, but numbers have to play a part, it's an inescapable reality. Take my GP practice. 15 years ago I could see a GP on the day I phoned. I would be given an appointment for the same day. Today, I have the same GP in the same building with 1 more GP colleague in the...

    Leaving the EU

The big difference is that the Brits abroad don't tend to arrive in their country of choice clinging to the axel of a lory, or by slashing a curtain sider in order to stow-away, or by throwing bricks at the host country's border agency. The Brits also tend to take with them a package of self...

    Leaving the EU

You are of course quite right and London is not a place that I want to work or live in and to a growing extent, visit. This is mainly for the reasons that you point out. The only attraction that London now holds for me is its history, museums and iconic buildings. The people have gone, diluted...

    misleading the public again ????

There are some good PCSOs who are worth 2 of certain types of police officer. The reverse also applies, so this comes down to the character and work ethic of the individuals who are employed in each role. The eagerness to blurr the line between PCSO and Police Officer is a deliberately...

    Portable pressure washer?

These are probably the best option. Pressure washers can force moisture into places that you don't want it to go. I've always had good results from a bucket of water, a sponge, some detergent and pump up garden sprayer to rinse the bike off.

    Parking on the pavement

Plus, if no one is watching the camera output and detecting crimes, it saves more money because fewer people go through the (guffaw) justice system.

    printer advice

I found ink jet to be OK as long as you keep using them. If not used for a while, I found that the print quality suffered.

    printer advice

Another vote for mono laser. I purchased a Brother DCP something, about 3 years ago. The original toner cartridge lasted nearly two years and the current high capacity cartridge cost £80. It's a good reliable printer. I wouldn't use a squirty ink type again after using this printer.

    Best cycling app?

Strava, but make sure that you set it for ebike use, especially if you live in Derbyshire.

    Kalkhoff woes, need help.

Here is a new Impulse 2 motor for sale for £480. A 350 Watt S version costs about £20 more. http://www.pro-cycling-golla.de/Motor_und_Zubehoer/250W_Freilauf_artikel56ba226b06129.html Check it will fit and the handlebar controller + battery are compatible if you decide to buy. The bolt pattern...

    Fantic Ebikes

Strange name for an Ebike, but I suppose that when you are selling to an international market, certain names won't mean anything in some countries. It's like the Kalkhoff Agattu, the word Agattu means commode in Russian. They won't be selling many Kalkhoff Commodes in the east. Marketing men...

    Fantic Ebikes

I see that 50 Cycles have become a Fantic dealer. They look nice, but I don't know anything about the brand or the Brose motor. Any opinions? I think the last Fantic I saw was when I was an apprentice. A colleague had a 50cc Fantic GT with a peashooter exhaust. It had a silencer can...

should ktm bikes sell sclass bikes without proof of private land.

Technically, an illegal ebike could be lawfully confiscated and destroyed because it is a powered motor vehicle. However, the chances of that happening are very small unless a more general and widespread ebike nuisance problem develops.

I'm pleased that we have found some common ground upon which we both agree.

should ktm bikes sell sclass bikes without proof of private land.

I'm just stating the facts. I know you don't like them and would prefer something different. But what we do have in our current pedelec legislation isn't bad. Let's not spoil it everyone.

should ktm bikes sell sclass bikes without proof of private land.

I'm not sure that we are talking about the same thing. It's legal to use a Suzuki Alto on a road, it's legal to use a pedelec on a road. It's legal to use something faster than a Suzuki Alto on a road but it's not legal to use something faster than a pedelec, say an S Pedelec on a road...

should ktm bikes sell sclass bikes without proof of private land.

If we look at the long term implications, I agree with KTM's stance on this. Many people enjoy "Green Lane" riding on their motorbikes. This is essentially what most people wrongly term as off roading. It's nothing of the sort, the trails they ride on are actually classified as roads, but they...

That case... and the public interest

I'm just typing a letter and equanimity fits into it beautifully. Thank you.
