    Battery query

Thank you @thelarkbox . As NealH said, you'll need a battery capable of 30A continuous discharge rate, even though you don't use all of it 99% of the time. Typically, 48V 15AH or 48V 20AH. We don't generally support motors with more than 250W labels as a general strategy to reduce support cost.

mRNA vaccines are instrumental in reducing covid deaths. They are still work in progress. Malaria, zika etc have now mRNA vaccines. The main issue with mRNA vaccines is that in some people, it is reversed transcribed into their genome instead of disappearing after 3-4 days. Then they cause...

    Sevenoaks Electric Bikes

a couple of hundreds metres from my shop is Piers Hill. It's not very high, about 50m-70m elevation but it's a short, straight up the cliff climb. Most hub motors will struggle without the rider's help.

Disabled Rider Trying to Make His Ride Easier

I suggest you look into an arduino project with bluetooth to create a wireless/remote switch system. The switch part is then connected to the + and - buttons and the control part has two buttons and is located in the hollow of one of the pedals.

That may be a result of natural selection. Joking aside, there are still people who still die with covid even now. Going from here, the Covid mRNA vaccines seem to be quite crude. They made a lot of money for Pfizer and Moderna for sure and they were lucky that UK government cover their product...

There were no obvious measures flecc self isolated, me too. We closed our shop to the public, worked in one room each and put the masks on when we needed to converse. I am not against vaccines, but did not like to see scientists exagerrating their protective power.

I am still using an electric hot water tank. I think combining heating with hot water is just too complicated. You can buy in France a Sauter 250L heat pumped hot water tank for about £1500. Chauffe-eau thermodynamique SAUTER Takhini 250 l | Leroy Merlin

They are unrealistic predictions. You won't catch me citing any of them. Modelling on computers is just educated guesswork: Timothy Palmer, professor of climate physics at the University of Oxford. “We know the equations.” But we don’t know how to solve them. The many factors that affect the...

Customers are charged a lot because the pumps they sell must be fitted by certified refrigerant gaz fitter. I paid less than 500 Euros for my 4.5kw pump. It's an air to water system and has a simple heat exchanger for the hot water, no need to be fitted and service by certified fitters. The key...

I recently installed a small heat pump at my house in France. It's definitely cheaper to run compared to gas or electric and can still be improved further. I can't see why we keep burning gas.

I like the protography of his programs, often filmed in UHD. I am a bit critical of television but not cynical though. In his yesterday's program, there were plenty of visual proofs to support the melting of artic polar ice cap and 'greening' of Greenland. BBC iPlayer - Frozen Planet II - Series...

Ignorance. It's easy to mix things up unintentionally. The polar ice caps, both South and North are melting, losing mass. That's pretty constant. Even then, it's a trend, there are variations in the ice shelves and thickness of Greenland ice year by year. What you want to see is the rate of...
